@FamEdTrust Source? Evidence? Every event run by Girlguiding is risk assessed. All leaders, Helpers etc have to be police checked. I have never in 30 years of Guiding seen mixed sex accommodation. Instructors are sometimes male, they too are police checked. Leaders are always present.

Parents were devastated to find out their daughters were forced to share sleeping accommodation, changing rooms and toilets with boys. And to unknowingly have male leaders pretending to be women. There has been zero safeguarding at Girlguiding - which is a FEMALE organisation.

It’s devastating that Girlguiding has announced plans to exclude existing trans girl guides from September. The Supreme Court ruling is being weaponised to bully previously inclusive organisations into abandoning members of their own community. The government must ensure that the statutory guidance enables organisations to be inclusive and protects them from expensive anti-trans lawfare.

My mom scolded me because I let my kids use their tablets after school to decompress. She said, “When I’m babysitting, I hide the tablets. Dinner is for family conversation.” My 9-year-old without missing a beat: “You don’t let anyone talk though… you talk over us. So what’s the point?” Me: 😂😂😂💀

My GP surgery are late with my prescription again. I phoned & had to listen to a convoluted recorded message about measles & the surgery’s upgrade to their app that happened in Oct. I was finally given options to get through to someone. It said ‘ring after 10am’. Hopeless.

At my Catholic school, Easter wasn’t “just one day.” We’d 6 wks of Lent, then 7 wks celebrating the resurrection up to Pentecost Sunday. I’m not a believer now but I do wonder why so many self-proclaimed Christians don’t seem to know this. Starting to think they’re fibbing🤔

@travisakers I’d collect all phones at the beginning of class and return them at the end. Emergencies go thru administration for sooner notifications. No exceptions!

@travisakers I take the kids phones away during class. They have a basket they have to put them in. It’s not school, it’s a sports club. No phones for 3 hours. You could do that too. You’re the adult. Just saying.

When you apply to the girl guides now the first question you will be asked is: do you comply with standard gender norms, expressions and expectations, and if you say no? Or even you’re not sure? You’re out. Just let kids be who they are for goodness sake. Love them regardless. This is petty and cruel.

@GCWench @swissfamilyp @Heccles94 So they never bought into the inclusivity promoted by GGUK? And how do they know about their gender? I was a leader for almost 30 years and never once queried a child's gender. Hopefully the majority of younger leaders have a less narrow viewpoint.
