@quarlesr @quarlesr we updated the RCRI to reflect the substantial body of evidence suggesting the original RCRI underestimated risk. Below is a table from Duceppe 2017 showing the pooled event rates for each RCRI score. Email us at team@mdcalc.com with any questions!

Just noticed that they did add a warning/disclaimer to the top of the calculator… I worry that some will miss that though.

“RCRI on MDCalc is of no value at all now.” - @preopconsult YES! It scares me how many time I see great physicians use it inappropriately. Per ACC/AHA guidelines: 0 or 1 RCRI RF = Low risk. 2 or more = elevated risk. Don’t use % from MDCalc. #Periop2021
