@kklas_ I agree on face value--but many projects would not be able to pay a large bounty without tapping user funds. That's a hard call (assuming they even have access), but running the exploit forces their hand.

Recently I discovered a critical loss of funds vulnerability on a Solana SC that would have affected multiple apps with ~$30M being at risk. If it was exploited it would have been the third largest SC exploit on Solana. Yet none of the affected apps want to give me a bounty...

Don't think ppl should be blamed too hard for being sponsored by companies that later turned out to be scams, but will say that @hasufl had us turn down very lucrative sponsorship deals for Uncommon Core in 2021 bc he felt being sponsored would hurt our neutrality fundamentally
