What is the state of medicine when you are threatened and forced to do a non emergent procedure on call? #medtwitter

@drochohan @_backtable @AaronFrittsMD @JMichaelBarraza @SandeepBaglaMD @AmputationSuck The content is great. Need to pick it back up again soon but definitely jealous of the hoody. Wishing you a speedy recovery

Had this hoodie to keep me warm while I recovered from my hand fracture! @_backtable has amazing content to listen! Can’t wait to get back to #irad @AaronFrittsMD @JMichaelBarraza @SandeepBaglaMD @AmputationSuck

English

Acute and chronic venous occlusive disease of head, neck, and chest may be repaired and native veins may be restored using single-session thrombectomy and stent reconstruction. Interventional Radiologists may help. #IRAD @davidsshin @FredBertinoMD @UofWa_IR @SIRspecialists

Wow.
From the New York Times, 1984:
Stolen NBME exams sold for as much as $50,000
(~$125,000 in 2020 dollars)

@masi_zachary @SIR_ECS @bachakzaimd @sarelgaurmd @joeirad Classic fissural chest tube. Love these cases. Fluoro guidance? How do you like APDL vs dawson mueller for your PTX chest tubes? And how do you decide your sizing? I usually do anterior approach 8.5 Fr dawson mueller

@brianchiong Thoughts on using a flow switch on your micropuncture sheath and around your IJ wire when creating your tunnel for tunneled central venous access? I had never seen it done residency and fellowship but a few people in my new group use it regularly.

Here we go. My first #medtwitter #tweetorial. A subject near and dear to my heart. Venous air embolism.
If I have an IV line and someone injects air into it, how much will it take to kill me?

@angio_sweet @ShofnerWhitney Love it. Is this your plan going into declots or more often for when you realize a stenosis is peripheral to your initial access? @chrisrstark @ncdoro
English
Michael Fickes retweetledi

@ShofnerWhitney My sheath flip technique: Replace sheath with a reverse curve catheter and pull back until glidewire selects opposite limb of graft, advance wire to straighten catheter, remove catheter and put your sheath back over the wire. (Don’t mind my hands in the field 😆)

@kush_r_desai @akhileshsistaMD Great case. What did you use to grab the PA strut?
English

Fractured #filterOUT that was a bit harrowing; completely fractured struts in left PA and AORTA! Oh, and an extracaval apex...@rkryu @TheRealDoctorOs
