I’ve posted a number of tweets from the Inquiry hearing on 16 Sept.
This was the day that Dr Lisa Ritchie took the stand. She chaired the IPC Cell which wrote the Covid infection control guidance for UK hospitals.

I think this must be THE most awkward moment of the Covid Inquiry so far. I’ve dubbed it ‘The Long Pause’. I’d love to know what was going on in Dr Ritchie’s head here. I’d like to think she had a moment of reflection of how many lives were lost due to her flawed IPC guidance.

I repeat. The UK did not have the fastest Covid vaccine rollout. And we didn’t need to leave the EU to approve the vaccine. Indeed we were still in it when we did! Please could journalists correct Johnson’s lies?

And here he breaks down while explaining the absolute trauma experienced by smaller hospitals in particular - the "healthier" ICU patients were transferred out, leaving them coping with so much death.

@British_Airways can you provide any I info on the redirected flight BA520 today which is currently at Porto Santo. Will it be arriving in Madeira today and will the aircraft form the return flight BA521 to the Uk today? Staff at Madeira have no information.

@bowasakisan @British_Airways I thought the lack of info here was bad enough. That’s appalling. The aircraft following the BA flight landed and the flight time from Porto Santo is only 20 minutes. So @British_Airways why have we been forced to wait here with no info for the whole day?
