STORY TIME: On the Hill, I get told a lot that ICE is coming to get me or Trump is going to send me to alligator Alcatraz or CECOT. These "jokes" doesn't come from lawmakers or staffers. They come from the press, some who give me dirty looks now for not having solidarity. Well solidarity is a two-way street, homies. I back real ones who keep it real. And I never forget a slight. I keep mum and don't name names because I'm not a bitch or a snitch. But Estefany's case makes it real. She is one of ours and most of you don't give a fuck. Which means you're not going to give a fuck if it happens to me or any of us actually under threat. Sure, Estef is Spanish-language. Well ... half of me is too. Does that make us less in you? To a lotta of you it does. I know because if you threaten a Pablo with ICE on my beat, nobody says a goddamn thing. TO BE CLEAR, the best press have always been real with me. You know me. I know you. From dishwasher to the best reporter in the Capitol: the realest ones have kept it so throughout our careers so I'm telling you now: Estefany Maria Rodríguez Flores' release matters to press freedom more than any banquet, luncheon, or award. She matters just as much if not more than Evan when he got abducted by Putin. More because this happened on Wednesday in our own country. She must be released by ICE immediately and you have to have her back. Otherwise, fuck your press freedom speeches and toasts and talking points because you're not serious people, press, or colleagues. Estefany should be a five alarm fire. That she ain't is a problem and your silence is deafening — at least, to me. I'll leave it at that.

“If you are just now joining us: local and federal sources tell ABC News that federal agents shot two people here in Portland a short time ago, reportedly around 230. The circumstances remain unclear, but the FBI is responding and has opened an investigation. We are told that the agents involved are with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, not ICE. Again, the FBI will be leading that investigation. We are expecting statements from the FBI, as well as from local leaders, as soon as City Council reconvenes. We have multiple crews in the field right now.”

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents just assaulted a U.S. citizen for existing on a public sidewalk in Minneapolis. In the video, a person is walking down the sidewalk when they notice ICE vehicles pulling out of a parking lot and begin filming. As one vehicle exits, an agent in the passenger seat raises pepper spray, aims it at the civilian, and sprays them in the face. No warning. No command. No justification. The person wasn’t interfering. They weren’t blocking the vehicle. They weren’t threatening anyone. They were simply recording government agents in public, exercising a clearly established constitutional right. This wasn’t a mistake. This wasn’t a misunderstanding. This was retaliation, intimidation, and an abuse of power… caught on camera. So the question isn’t whether this was legal. It wasn’t. The question is how many more Americans will be assaulted for exercising their rights before this stops? And when will the government stop treating U.S. citizens like criminals… or “terrorists”… for the crime of existing in public and holding power accountable?

Pastor: I saw ICE agents circling a young woman who appeared to be Hispanic. I said to this ICE agent, 'Take me, stop harassing her.' The agent got in my face, pointed a gun at me, and said, 'Are you afraid now?' To which I said, 'I am not afraid.' The next thing I knew, they were putting handcuffs on me, and they put me in the back of an SUV. I asked them if I was under arrest. They said to me, 'Well, you're white, you won't be any fun anyway.'
