Thank you my dear Secretary General @antonioguterres for your kind words and solidarity. You are a great friend and have stood by Pakistan in every challenging time. Your support is a source of comfort and strength for us. Alongside all like-minded nations, Pakistan remains steadfast and resolute in its fight against terrorism.

I strongly condemn the explosion targeting a train in Pakistan. Terrorism in all its forms is unacceptable. The perpetrators must be identified & brought to justice. The @UN stands in solidarity with the people & the Government of Pakistan.

After accompanying Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif @CMShehbaz in his meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang in Beijing today, and following a series of productive engagements during our visit marking the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations, I will be departing tonight for New York to participate tomorrow in the UN Security Council Open Debate on “Maintenance of International Peace and Security” at the invitation of H.E. Wang Yi, Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, who will chair the debate.
I will be in New York 26–28 May, where besides the UNSC open debate, I will participate at UN in a “Group of Friends” meeting, alongside other important sideline engagements with Foreign Ministers of many countries.
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the leadership and people of China for their warm hospitality, the gracious celebrations marking 75 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations, and the excellent arrangements made for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation during the visit. Pakistan deeply values the enduring friendship and close cooperation between our two countries.
I am also thankful to Pakistan Embassy in Beijing for their hard work and support throughout the visit.
Look forward to constructive engagements in New York on key regional and global developments.
