Today, @mtic_uganda convened stakeholders at the Trade Symposium for greater Masaka region, to discuss practical ways of enhancing service accessibility, strengthening local government-private sector collaboration, supporting MSMEs and cooperatives, and expanding market access for Ugandan products. President Yoweri Museveni has appealed to Ugandans to embrace the wealth creation campaign and join the money economy. He said Uganda is now a land of surplus in maize, sugar, milk, bananas, eggs and other products. However, the President regretted that there is still a section of 30% of households living in poverty & outside the money economy.
