Jonathan Isaac (knee) listed doubtful for Saturday.

I’m not even kidding. I am contemplating retiring as a fan of the Orlando Magic. Might look for a different team in the offseason. Like 35+ years of watching this team I think I’ve finally reached my end.

I think the Magic need to make the decision of either trading Paolo Banchero or Franz Wagner. Imo it should be Paolo. Franz is a better driver, defender, and more efficient at the rim. They can't play together, and Franz has been better for years now.

Hey man, your bit is cool but don't come at us film guys like that 😡. You can learn a hell of a lot more about a player in 4 games than any spreadsheet will teach you. The real ticket is blending both film and analytics.

“In years’ past … it felt like we were going through the motions a little bit in terms of the meetings.” That’s no longer the case in D.C. How the Nationals manufactured one of the best offenses in MLB, one PowerPoint at a time: nytimes.com/athletic/71916…

One observation 10-games into the season is that the #Nats are no longer getting the disproportionate ump bias on balls/strikes as the ABS seems to be forcing the umps to call them "fairer" leading to a 9.7% Walk Rate by Nats' batters compared to 7.4% last year. Now of course the new hitting coach philosophies could be part of it too, but the umpiring seems fair and we objectively know from Ump Scorecard that the #Nats were Bottom-3 the past 3 years in incorrect calls.

The Magic were planning to pursue Michael Malone to be their next head coach, if they faltered in playoff contention with Jamahl Mosley. With Malone shockingly off to North Carolina instead, Orlando must now pivot on their future priority list with Mosley square on the hot seat.

James Tibbs III in Triple-A so far: .474 AVG, 4 2B, 7 HR, 13 RBI, .535 OBP #Dodgers

@jasonwright25 That’s more of a question on how they balance figuring it out vs a slightly better lineup. Fwiw, He is helped hitting 1st. More likely to see the SP a third time instead of a (lefty) RP. SPs throw more strikes with 0 outs and in the 1st. More fastballs as well.

People are saying that Miles Mikolas was signed as an "innings eater" which really wasn't the case. He was a starter who made every start in 2025 (31 games). He was signed as a veteran pitcher who resurrected his career after a stint in Japan, and could be a mentor, especially to Foster Griffin who just came from Japan. Early observations are that in Mikolas' 2 #Nats starts he pitched scoreless 1st innings. Last year, his best inning was the 2nd inning in which he pitched to a 3.48 ERA. The answer might be to put him in the bullpen and pitch 2.0 inning stints and see how that goes. Nats could bring back Andrew Alvarez, Mitchell Parker or even promote Riley Cornelio.
