Adults are huge consumers of the game (myself included) in spite of the fact that they are still marketed to and made for kids. That’s just a fact. Early Pokemon games were easy because Pokemon is a broadly simple concept that’s relatively easy to master at the base game level. Later Pokemon games are easy because your Pokemon can randomly decide it loves you too much to let a super effective move knock it out.

As someone who has played almost all of them, Scarlet and Violet is the hardest mainline Pokemon game ever released if you beeline the main progression pathway. You also forget that every single Pokemon game is relatively easy compared to its peers because it’s made for KIDS NOT 30+ YEAR OLD MEN
