The Illinois legislature passed a "Junk Fee" transparency bill today. Shockingly, they specifically exempted government taxes and fees from the bill. They don't want you to know how much tax you are paying to the government. Here's what your gasoline receipt would look like in Chicago if we had tax transparency.

Ilhan Omar. Shri Thanedar. Pramila Jayapal. All born in foreign countries, none were citizens by birth. All sitting in the United States Congress. All making clear every single day their loyalty is not to America. We just introduced a long overdue joint resolution proposing a constitutional amendment to require Members of Congress, federal judges, and Senate-confirmed officers to be natural born citizens. This is the very same standard the President and Vice President are already required to meet. The people writing America's laws, confirming America's judges, and representing America on the world stage should have one loyalty: America. Not any other country. For too long we have allowed foreign born members to hold seats in this government while making clear they are America last, not America first. We see it every day. This constitutional amendment will put an end to it.

A similar situation unfolded with West Chicago gym teacher James Heidorn, who was pushed out after posting two simple words on his personal Facebook page: “GO ICE.” Student and parent meltdowns trigger punishment. Districts cave. Courts claim the speech would “disrupt the learning environment.” SCOTUS declines to intervene. This is public education in 2026. They preach the First Amendment, but punish any teacher who actually exercises it off-duty on the wrong side of the narrative. Conform or be canceled.

The baby’s cause of death was acute upper airways obstruction, as a result of smothering by hand, fabric, or inserted object. The child had suffered 40 injuries including external and internal bruising, and a fractured arm. Detective found videos on Varley’s phone, recorded earlier that day, with the boy lying on the bed with respiratory arrest but the defendant did not seek medical help. Varley is charged with: murder, manslaughter, two counts of assault by penetration, five counts of cruelty to a child, grievous bodily harm, sexual assault of a child, 13 counts of taking indecent photos or videos of a child, one of distributing an indecent photo of a child. A month before the child’s death, Varley told a social worker he wasn’t “bonding” with the child and was having “dark thoughts” about him, including thoughts of drowning or suffocating the baby. Elon just offered to fund a wrongful death lawsuit against UK police officers who handcuffed the victim of a stabbing. Henry Novak had been stabbed by Vickrum Digwa with an 8in Sikh martial arts knife. When officers arrived, Vickrum claimed he had been racially abused, while Henry was lying on his side, telling the police he’d been stabbed and couldn’t breathe. Officers immediately took Vickrum’s side and told Henry that he was under arrest for suspicion of assault, dismissing claims that he’d been stabbed. Henry died as a result of his injuries. The UK is beyond a joke

This mother’s words will wreck you. Her teenage son was murdered by a repeat criminal who was back out on the streets. When she got to the hospital, they told her his body was now a “crime scene.” She couldn’t touch him. Couldn’t hug him. Couldn’t say goodbye. Nurses physically stopped her: “You can’t touch him. He’s evidence. We can’t risk tampering with it.” His feet were still sticking out from under the blanket — in little socks. She will never get that last embrace. This is what soft-on-crime policies and revolving-door “justice” do to American families. How many more mothers have to live with this agony before we put the criminals — not the victims — behind bars for good?
