David Lammy: "I'm going to ensure talent, not background, determines success" Also David Lammy: "I'm going to fast-track people from groups I feel are underrepresented". They can't see what they are, can they? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

As the first Black Lord Chancellor, I’m determined to widen opportunity, break down barriers, and ensure talent, not background, determines success. A judiciary that reflects modern Britain is a stronger judiciary. theguardian.com/law/2026/may/2…

Didn’t have this nonce down as anti vax. @RCristinaFClub Then again he is a cowardly ‘veteran’ who never dared active duty.

I usually don’t entertain trolls in my DMs, but I made an exception for this Restore guy who wanted to fight me. I sent him photos he posted in 2018 with his mates, including one with his girl. I genuinely think he forgot he posted them and thought he was anonymous. It's funny how he doesn’t want to fight anymore & has locked his account.

Byron Donalds just shut down CNN live. High gas prices aren't because of Trump. They're because Iran is trying to close the Strait of Hormuz and inflict pain on the world while chasing nukes. CNN still tried to blame Trump. These people are shameless.

She said Burnham's visit to the Hamlet was non political. Ashton-in-Makerfield Labour Party put a photo of Burnham, her and the Hamlet trainees on their FB yesterday!
Andy Burnham@AndyBurnhamGM

@LeeAndersonMP_ You don’t need to argue with me, Lee. You need to listen to Gemma, the person who runs The Hamlet, and then decide whether as a Party you are prepared to do the decent thing.

@AndyBurnhamGM @FennellJW @LeeAndersonMP_ Photo taken at the Hamlet yesterday with Burnham published on Ashton-in-Makerfield Labour Party Facebook. Including your trainees? I haven't seen Reform publish any photographs of them. Why is it ok for Labour to politicise these people with additional needs?

Let me put the record straight in plain English. We had no plans at all to visit this venue. Rob was taking us on a tour of the constituency to places which meant something to him. He took us to an old factory site next to the canal to start the tour. This was a factory where Rob used to work ( if you're not familiar with the term 'work' it's something working class people do day in day out and it involves getting your hands dirty). As we drove around he decided to take us to a fishing lake where he has fished. Once there we saw a cafe and decided to have a cuppa and use the toilet. I am confused as to why the lady sent the letter as she sat with us talking to us all about the cafe and the challenges it faces. She then asked for a selfie with Rob and Nigel and thanked us for the visit. We then left. On entering the car park I came across a very shaken looking @christiancalgie who I believe had been subject to a torrent of verbal abuse, some of it by yourself. We know there is a lot of pressure on yourself to become Labour leader but this type of gutter politics has no place in the UK. The cafe is a great place doing great work and as a supporter of these types of establishments I know full well about the financial challenges they face and the conversations these establishments have with politicians to secure funding. It now makes me wonder why this letter has been sent and I just hope this cafe is not being taken advantage for political gain.
Andy Burnham@AndyBurnhamGM

Mr @christiancalgie has been busy putting out a partial version of events these last few days, amplified by yourselves. I think it’s time all your readers had the whole story. They were all out of order and, if they had any decency, would now hold their hands up and apologise.

@elonmusk why is your site censoring polls? 47 views, been online 23 minutes, two people posted me they voted no. I have 13.1k followers and yet the poll shows no votes. Censorship alive and well on X?

While it appears that the government has successfully pushed back on some particularly harmful elements in the previous draft, the new Code of Practice will still lead to the exclusion of trans people from services and facilities that they have used without issue for a very long time. This will do nothing to improve women’s lives and the many struggles we face, but it will put trans people (and anyone perceived as trans) at increased risk of discrimination, harassment and violence. The Code unfortunately still represents the culmination of years of anti-trans campaigning from a small, well-funded minority who have had outsized influence in the media and in politics, and have weaponised the courts for their own ends. The legal situation for trans people is now deeply incoherent and means that it is untenable for them to be able live their lives with dignity. This is completely out of line with the values of equality that a Labour government is meant to champion. Instead of making this Code statutory, the government should be legislating to clarify and protect trans people’s rights, privacy and inclusion.

Nobody gives a fuck that you're black David. They give a fuck that your policies are making this once fantastic country devolve into a backward state of degeneracy. One that values sob stories over victims. Regression over justice. You'd get the same response if you were white. Stop using your colour as a shield for avoiding accountability. A judiciary chosen for excellence, blind to skin, commands more legitimacy than one chased for "reflection." Victims and rule of law should rank higher than representative statistics. The irony of you mirroring Starmer with your Fabian "modern Britain" is telling. Especially when a degenerate, seen ON VIDEO, punching an officer in the face, gets off on a hung jury... A judiciary "reflecting modern Britain" sounds nice, but implys outcomes should be based round race or/and class rather than British law.

For me, Makerfield isn’t a stepping stone. It’s my home. The people here are my neighbours, friends & family. I took @Nigel_Farage out in my van to show him the places that matter to me. We chatted rugby league and why Makerfield finally needs a proper local MP.
