@BettyAiProject @Dynadot So the fake bidder wasn’t banned? He just paid 5% and he’s allowed to do this again in the future?
English

Let me get this straight…
@Dynadot treated the fake bidder who defaulted, the one who caused this entire mess, better than they’ve treated me, a legitimate customer who has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on their platform and completed every sale.
Think about that.
They protect the fraudster, keep his deposit, and overcharges ME,
the honest bidder.
Then mock the very customer who brought it to light.
What kind of company does that?
what kind of morals do they run on?
Please stop telling me how nice they are when the evidence proves otherwise.

Few domains sales
Taxawareness. com on @afternic for $8k BIN last month
In January Featherless. com for $22.5k 1 yr LTO. They raised $5 million shortly after but interestingly have not redirected the domain yet to .ai
Looking forward to attending my first @Namescon next week and connecting - please reach out if you're attending!

English

@DInvesting @NamesCon I’ll be there, my first NamesCon. Can’t wait to talk domains in person!
English

@afternic Was happy to report it, I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of payment on this sale. Wasn't even 48 hours from agreement and the funds had already landed. 👍👍👍
English

@bogdan_vovchuk @afternic Wow, I'd agree 'my' is typically stronger than 'your'. It looks like buildyourstore.ai has really started taking off in the past month so they bought it to not lose tons of typo traffic to the .com. I hadn't even noticed them or else I may have repriced.
English

@MakeMoneyOnline @afternic Congrats. Typically, "My" (feels personal) wins against "Your" but not this time :)

English

Sold BuildYourStore .com for $75,000 (BIN) at @afternic. I believe I hand reg'd this domain ~10 years ago as I can't find my purchase price.
Sold on Sunday afternoon and the funds arrived this morning (Tuesday). Appears the buyer is BuildYourStore .ai.

English

@TLDInvestors @afternic It definitely expired, I went through some spreadsheets of my expired auction wins but couldn’t find it and name bio doesn’t have it so I’m thinking it expired and I hand reg’d it. I also have a lot of similar 3 word biz opp type domains that I registered around that period.
English

@MakeMoneyOnline @afternic Congrats Greg, regged since 2004 so probably an expired win?
English

@mediaking Unbelievable. Looks like it was made with a free logo generator.

Starting a new business as a brand consultant to municipalities tomorrow.
End Wokeness@EndWokeness
The city of Austin just spent $1.1 million on this rebrand
English

@searchbound Crazy. I’ve tried to buy this domain twice in the past and never got a reply. It looks like this is going to blow past what I offered them (50k).
English

@natejhake This is insane. There is clear search intent here that Google fully understands and purposely tries to stop to control the user’s direction and earn more money. Google really needs to be stopped before it’s too late.
English

Google tells bloggers to "build a brand" and write for your own audiences
BUT if you do that and your audience tries to find you via brand search, Google will try its best to stop your audience from finding you in the SERPs
Google will:
-re-format and re-mix your blog post (replacing your editorial judgment with its AI's preferred ordering)
-steal your photos and present them right in the SERPs
-hallucinate a few entries that aren't actually on your post at all
-then present it all on right on the SERPs as if Google made it
Seriously -- what on Earth is the point of this EXCEPT for Google to compete directly against the same publishers its AI is stealing from?

English

@MakeMoneyOnline Congrats on the sale.
I was just reading on DNJournal about DomainEasy... a "Platform That Offers a New Option for Fans of Departing DAN.com
dnjournal.com/archive/lowdow…
I haven't tried it, just passing along the info since ya asked...
English

@priymrj You need to try to do business class in their A380 planes next, the seat is bigger with a lot more privacy. Both are good though!

@levelsio "Vision without execution is just hallucination"
One of my favorite quotes from Henry Ford. Don't surround yourself with people who just dream and don't execute.

English

Best thing I did was actively surround myself with builders
I used to waste my time with people that talk but don't build
Talkers cling on to builders to suck their resources like leeches
They will put you in giant email threads, Zoom calls, endless DMs, to talk ideas and connect you with other people in the "ecosystem"
You quickly realize you're now the protagonist in some bullshit startup theater show where nothing is ever going to be built
Talkers have no skills to build, are too lazy to develop them, and thus hover around builders to catch some of their food remains like hyenas
After 10 years in startups the talkers I know are still where they were when they started out
While a large % of the builders are succesful, rich and have built things with impact to their little (or large) part of society
Surround yourself with builders, not talkers because talk is cheap and building is hard!

Any kind of marketplace that pays out cash will be huge targets for the mafia in Vietnam, Nigeria, and Eastern Europe. That’s why they have to be so strict, they didn’t use to make you go through that process so I’m sure they’ve been hit by those guys already (as was I and other people I know who run marketplaces with cash payouts)
English

Used Escrow today and they made me email them to use my credit card?
Like it's 1997

kyzo@ky__zo
who's doing the new @Escrow_com? they need to be disrupted asap. @nico_jeannen was right, what a 💩 💩 company They: ▸ rejected all my documents and ignored my emails, sending me 10 stupid reminders that my account had been rejected. ▸ told me to call them from my Polish number (I'm in Bangkok 🤡). ▸ changed their minds and approved me, but told me to next time notary translate my internet bill from Polish to English (being in Thailand 😂 🤡 💀) ▸ told me my bank was not supported, without an explanation 🫠 I don't want to deal with this 💩 company ever again. What's the alternative?
