Well said Ruth, in much of my work with schools and as Chair of Governors in two I am picking up much of the same strains on the system. It is not sustainable and about to get even worse with unfunded salary increases. Utter madness!

My investigation into activism and growing tension within Girlguiding following its “no boys” policy change is in The Sunday Telegraph today.
I began looking into this after seeing a video from a Berkshire guiding group that appeared to show children being drawn into activism. What I found:
• Some guide leaders buying pro-trans badges for entire units - including Rainbows (aged 5–7)
• Activities encouraging girls to engage in campaigning - including writing to MPs and attending protests
• Links between some leaders and external activist groups and political organisations, including a Pride event
Alongside this, volunteers on both sides describe a growing breakdown in trust - and an increasingly hostile environment inside the organisation.

Tactical time-outs an increasing problem in football. A few PL clubs do it. Even England have done it. Caoimhin Kelleher may have genuinely been injured - he was able to play on - but Leeds United’s frustration at the disruption was understandable. They were building, had brought on subs and then the game paused.
Daniel Farke already raised concerns earlier this season. Gianluigi Donnarumma went down and Manchester City players went to touchline for instructions. Farke asked the fourth official if he was going to do something.
Officials’ hands are tied at the moment. Teams getting round rule for outfield players to go off for 30 seconds after treatment. Now goalkeepers used for tactical timeouts. IFAB has discussed a nominated outfield player going off for 30 seconds if a keeper has treatment. But concern that a keeper could genuinely have been injured. Possible solution is for players to be stopped from going to the touchline during stoppages or ordered to stay in the centre circle.
Be interesting to see whether World Cup refs clamp down. It’s seeking an advantage by breaking up opposition’s flow, by giving the manager an opportunity for instructions and also it’s time-wasting - and there’s enough of that spoiling games.

How ridiculous. Every school across the country is taught about different religions - it’s part of the curriculum. This has been the case for as long as I remember - at least 40/50 years. What are you afraid of? Ignorance is not something to aim for!

My grandson came home yesterday and told his mum that they had a lesson on muslims, and their religion in school that day. Today, my family decided that as Christians, catholics, and with Jewish relatives as well as women's rights activists aplenty within our family, this was not appropriate, needed, or wanted. Monday, the head teacher will have a complaint she never imagined, she will never forget and will never wish repeated.

It’s very evident Ofsted are not assessing schools but where they are and the catchment they have.
Disadvantaged area more likely to be marked down. High SEND because they are inclusive rather than pushing kids out more likely to be marked down.
How is that in any way fair?

Only OFSTED could say they’ve listened and want to be collegiate, and then invent a framework that seems to be more stressful, requires more workload and makes grades harder to attain.
And on top of that appears to disproportionately punish disadvantaged schools.
