Here's the reality behind everything in CD3 politics: whoever controls the land ends up controlling the people who live on it. Right now, the federal government controls 67 percent of Utah. Not individual Utahns, not the state, not the counties, not the communities that depend on this land. Washington does. And that control is exercised by exactly two presidential appointees: the Director of the Bureau of Land Management and the Director of the U.S. Forest Service. These two people exercise more practical authority over what happens on Utah soil than the governor of this state. Think about what that means for your constituents. These unelected federal bureaucrats decide whether a ranching family can graze cattle on land their ancestors worked for seven generations. They decide whether a coal miner or uranium developer can access proven reserves beneath monument boundaries. They decide whether a small community lives or dies. The Tenth Amendment reserves to the states all powers not delegated to the federal government. Article IV, Section 4 guarantees every state a republican form of government, meaning the people affected by policies actually get to vote out the people who make them. In Utah, that guarantee is hollow. I've spent 15 years fighting this reality. When the BLM illegally closed Recapture Canyon in 2007, a historic route cattlemen had used since pioneer days, I organized an ATV protest ride in 2014 to challenge it. In December 2020, President Trump granted me a full pardon because he understood what that fight represented: a weaponized prosecution of local people standing up to federal tyranny. As a state legislator, my first bill was HB179 to protect RS2477 road rights-of-way the BLM had been closing without legitimate legal authority. I opposed the Bears Ears land exchange because it represented a failure of fiduciary responsibility to the people of Utah. I ran for governor on a platform that put state sovereignty and local control at the center. My last bill in the legislature was also related to RS2477. It passed on the final day of my final session and was signed into law in the last hour of the last night. It stated that a road must remain open and in use during adjudication. That one sentence changes everything. Without it, environmental groups could shut a road simply by adjudicating it, tying the case up in court for 10 to 20 years while the road fell into disrepair and no one could use it. With this law, the road stays open while the legal battle plays out. They can litigate all they want, but the land stays accessible to the people who depend on it.  This is the foundational fight. Everything else flows from this: whether CD3 can develop its energy resources, whether families can keep their ranches, whether water stays in Utah or flows to California, whether communities can manage their own forests and land. You need a congressman who has already been in this fight, who understands the constitutional issues, who has personally sacrificed to defend local control. Not someone who will learn these issues after the election.

Foreigners should not be able to serve in Congress. That’s why I’ve introduced the Disqualifying Dual Loyalty Act. If you’re a citizen of another country, you shouldn’t serve this one. Get out.

@MormonNational Maybe instead of attacking people for sharing their testimony or the church because you believe it has a political motive on what they share, you should read the Book of Mormon. I bet you’ll find some Christlike love by reading it daily. God bless.

“I grew up in Arizona, served a mission in Mexico, and went to college thinking I had a pretty clear path for my life. Then I met my now wife Victoria, and everything changed in the best way. “She always knew she wanted to be a doctor. Pediatric neurology isn’t an easy road, but it’s who she is, compassionate, steady, brilliant, and drawn to help kids and families through the hardest things life hands them. When she got into med school in California, we packed up and moved. “Stepping into her dream together was an easy choice. I wanted to support her the way she has always supported me. And honestly, watching her work and sacrifice and love people like she does has strengthened my faith more than anything else. “My path hasn’t been as clear. I’ve tried different directions, learned a lot, prayed a lot. Some days I still feel like I’m figuring it out. But I do know that God doesn’t measure timelines. He measures love, humility, and the way we show up for each other. “Supporting her doesn’t shrink my purpose—it expands it. Our callings from God can look different, and that’s beautiful. I’m building my future too, but I’m grateful that right now, part of my purpose is cheering for the person I love most as she steps into hers. “There’s not one 'right way' to build a family or a future. For us, this is ours. And it’s sacred.” — Nate

@GovCox Can’t satisfy the adults in the state so why not just go to the kids. They don’t know any better, they’ll seem impressed enough. You’re such a fraud.

You tried to paint me as a pervert for exposing fraud, and as a result radical leftists started trying to dox me and send death threats, wanting to kill me. Now you are taking credit for “leading the charge” on the fraud. Are you serious? You are the fraud.

California is again leading the charge against large-scale identity theft and hospice fraud. Today, we're taking decisive action against 14 providers who tried using stolen identities to bill Medi-Cal for nonexistent hospice services.

Today in Eden, we ceremonially signed a set of bills focused on one thing: better outcomes for Utah students. Together with students from Valley Elementary, we reaffirmed our commitment to early literacy, better use of technology, and giving every student the tools they need to succeed. We’re investing in our kids, and making sure those investments actually deliver results.

Cattle ranchers in rural Utah don't “waste" water, they steward it. A cow drinks about 10-15 gallons a day and turns grass into protein that feeds the world. The real water hogs are the bureaucrats in Salt Lake who won't let us build storage or manage our grazing lands properly. Ranching families have kept these watersheds healthy for generations.

Property rights include water rights, and that means the right to water cattle on the range Utahns have stewarded for decades. Federal overreach and state regulators keep tying our hands with endless studies and restrictions. Utah cattle operations are sustainable, job-creating, and vital. I will fight to keep water where it belongs-with the people who use it responsibly.

A message to @GretaThunberg. If you agree with me, repost this so it reaches her tone-deaf ears. Greta! Watch this video! Do you even know what the hell you’re talking about? Where were you when the Islamic regime massacred 45,000 Iranians just for protesting? Where are you now while the regime has cut off internet access for 90 million people for 40 straight days—a crime so monstrous it doesn’t even have a name yet because no one has ever done anything this evil before? Listen to me, Greta. You can keep using Gaza and every other issue on Earth to brand yourself as the neurodivergent hero of humanity, but NOT IRAN. If you stayed completely silent while my people were slaughtered and terrorized left, right, and center by this regime—if you said nothing when the Islamic Republic’s Nazi-like regime murdered more of us in two days than Gazans in two years—then you have zero right to open your mouth now. Choke on your hypocrisy and stay silent. Iranians don't need your selective activism; keep your crocodile tears for Gaza. #DigitalBlackOutIran #IranMassacre
