Trump so humiliated himself that the Japanese PM announced the second round of projects in the US which amounts to $79 billion coming from last year’s $550 billion dollar investment in the US. Carney got $0 dollars of investment in exchange for a birthday cake! Carney is winning in the same Charlie Sheen claimed he was winning after he got fired from Two Men & a Half Men!

@BTCBreadMan They're third rate cars compared to their competition and the owner refuses to either acknowledge that shortcoming or take steps to close the gap to being competitive.

“Teslas are great cars but I wouldn’t buy one because I disagree with Elon’s politics” Who gives a shit about that? I buy products from many companies whose CEO’s politics I don’t agree with. Because I’m an adult who is capable of compartmentalizing and optimizing my own life.

@ChillKessel Sure, but he still had 2/3rds of a full career. We saw his prime too. Bo Jackson - we never fully saw what he could’ve been. Could have been generational in 2 sports.

@JFreshHockey The best of Kucherov would have never seen the light of day had he been coached by Keenan. One mistake and Keenan would have sent him to the AHL. When we talk about good to great players we really need to look at coaching, and how great talent was suppressed as a result.

@MvD366445175239 @CompletedStreet Good for them and good luck to them. The city, beyond the city core, resembles the Soviet rebuild of Ural cities; an industrial park trying to fake it as a legitimate city.

Edmonton. There's much less sprawl in Canada. I admire their urban growth boundaries.

@jonbrooks Well, given the history of multiple previous generations to simply kick the debt onto following generations, I would consider your question to be naive, uninformed and ridiculous.

Are we all cool to just kick this massive debt problem to the next generation?

Last year there were over 80 girls who tried out for the volleyball program. Zero of them didn't play travel. If you play travel you are practicing 3-5 times per week and playing 6+ games every weekend against good competition. You have no shot at varsity if you don't play.
Michael Moyer@twitm0822

@anymanfitness The only requirement to playing varsity is that she is more talented than other players who go out. Spending 10k for a cool uniform and nights in a hotel room isn’t gonna do that. Actually putting in the work will. But hey. I’m sure the league appreciates the donation.

@KagimuDrImran That's not how the world works. Don't pretend you influence his career. He'll be replacing you with someone else within five years. Prepare accordingly.

Just today, I interviewed applicants for a manager position at a newly opened pharmacy. When I got to the very last candidate and asked how he found about the job, He replied casually: "My father told me to apply." I paused. "Your father...?" "Yes, Mr.(pharmacy owner)" As I processed the information while noticing the clear father-son resemblance, he continued: "I don't know what I did to deserve such a father. (😳) This is my 6th interview since I graduated. He keeps pushing me to apply at every new branch he opens. Every single time, I get rejected...and he doesn't even seem to care." I just stared at him☹🤔 Then he lost expression and asked: "Bro, are you too going to drop me?" I answered professionally: "I'll forward the name of the best candidate." He stood up and walked out of the room without another word.

So you mean to tell me, an airplane can go right through the World Trade Center that had steel structure beams of 4 inch plate every 40” using 12 different grades of steel with a yield strength of 100,000 psi but if the same plane were to run into a firetruck on a runway the plane is completely destroyed. Got it!

One of those “this can’t be real” moments. Some guy perched himself smack on the hood of a car, refusing to budge, trapping the poor driver at an intersection. Before anyone even had time to dial the police, some random SUV driver had *had enough.* This guy storms out, grabs the hood-sitter, and hurls him onto the pavement like a wrestler clearing the ring. So, here’s the question: if someone’s acting like a traffic troll, do bystanders get a pass for going full vigilante to solve the problem, or did that guy just leap wayyyy over the line?

@mindingottawa @CountryGardener @ESDC_GC @TimHortons I stopped going to Tim Hortons. Corporate has not yet realized they’ve killed the brand with this. Franchise owners are no longer in the food business, they are in human trafficking business. It’s all a scam using the brand as cover

About halfway through Pierre Poilievre's interview with Joe Rogan (I've had a busy last few days). Pierre's ability to break down complex issues like monetary policy, tariffs and resource extraction while staying within a philosophically consistent moral framework is, I think, second to none in the Western world. Like many Canadians, I hope this interview is one of many like it to come in the future.
