@skylarromines @maddenifico There are solutions to that, though. During our first year back full days after Covid, all students got free lunch. Parents were asked to “reserve” what their child would want for lunch for planning purposes. Students weren’t held to that, necessarily, but it cut down on waste.

@maddenifico It’s a nice idea in theory but in our district they order free food for all the kids and ~80% goes unused [thrown away]. This is a massive waste of food and financial resources that could be used for something meaningful for the kids

@hanschoelo @drantbradley An accusation cannot become a proven event without an investigation, particularly when it comes to what is often a he said - he/she said event, such as abuse. Churches have been notoriously bad at investigating said events. Matthew 18 does not apply.

Parents, if your child reports being sexually abused in your church, go to the police. Let them handle it. Don’t go to the church leadership. Just call the police. I hate to say this but don’t assume church leaders will do the right thing. Many of them are too weak & pathetic.
