I am here at @NVIDIAGTC 2026 which is just wrapping up here in San Jose and what an amazing show it was. I was expecting to see lots of interesting announcements, demos and panel discussions about #PhysicalAI, #SovereignAI, #AgenticAI and #telecoms and the event did not disappoint. I will be writing about key takeaways when I am back in Japan as will the rest of the @CounterPointTR team who attended. One thing I was not expecting was to meet @ThorBjornsson_("The Mountain" from @GameOfThrones) who was there with @VDURAinc- who have a very interesting #AI and #HPC storage and management platform. Day 3 at MWC Barcelona 2026 @Huawei gave me AR glasses for translation during my briefing, allowing me to speak in English while they spoke in Mandarin in real time. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬: ⦾ @nvidia had phenomenal earnings up yet again on the back of continued hyperscaler investments in AI Datacenter infrastructure. ⦾ We haven't seen any major signals that this spending is slowing, but at some point, NVIDIA will need to further diversify. ⦾ One area of increasing focus is Physical AI - Robots, Autonomous Vehicles and Smart Spaces, as hyperintelligent devices will require significantly more computing power, increasingly at the edge. ⦾ Counterpoint Research will have several analysts at NVIDIA GTC 2026, where we expect to hear several big announcements about this and all things AI. @nvidia had phenomenal earnings again driven largely by the booming AI Datacenter market. However diversification is inevitable at some point which is starting to bring attention to Physical AI (robots, autonomous vehicles, smart spaces etc). NVIDIA is doing quite a lot in this space (hardware and software btw) and I'm looking forward to hearing more about it at @NVIDIAGTC next month.
