@taipan168 I don't seem to have the same luck, but did score an upgrade from New York to Sydney on QF 4, landed this morning to a broken immigration system and massive lines everywhere at the airport! What is going on with Sydney airport at the moment!

I have a 75-80% success rate in obtaining Qantas Classic points upgrades on medium-long haul international flights from economy/premium economy to premium/business. 🧵 with my tips/observations (your mileage may vary). 1/

Monique Ryan is claiming that there are 400 Australians on ventilators with COVID. The actual number is eight. Eight. Why would we ever listen to anything Mon has to say if she deliberately misrepresents the data to call for more COVID restrictions?

@profesterman Adrian, as a Professor I am suprised you would publish a document that is out of date by several years rather than current up to date information that confirms that covid is not the big bad scary monster anymore. Which is why most people are choosing to live there lives normally!

Why isn't the media covering covid like this anymore? All we get is silence.

@AstroAugusto foolish, never ever worked, they just cause mass enviromental damage. China locked everyone in flats, fumigated entire buildings when one case came up and carted people off to isolation and it still caught up with them! Masks do absolutely nothing at all.

If everyone wore N95 masks for two or three weeks, we would be in a much different place than we are now. There would be less sick people and, therefore, less disruptions to the economy.

@taipan168 I heard that cancer cases are up 100% because everyone left symptoms during covid. I would suggest thats far worse. Crappy publications and media have fulled bad behaviour in Australia and now poor health from things that really can kill you

Garbage article. The studies that estimate 10% incidence of long COVID are seriously flawed, based either on a cohort with an average age of 60+ and in very poor health, and/or without a control group. And does anybody believe that 1.8-2m people in Australia have long COVID?

All the facts are there, covid deaths are generally people that have died from something else, but happen to be positive. Most of us have had it now and its not what these people make it out to be

@discoball2000 Covid is the 3rd most diagnosed sniffle for people dying of heart attacks, car accidents, cancer etc, but just happen to have covid. Sweden was the gold standard. Did nothing, lost less lives overall and hasn't come out of covid with serious mental health issues

Sweden has one of the lowest excess death counts in all of Europe over the past three years and its children have grown up with little to no disruption - an inconvenient fact for Kathy and the like…
