Kirkpatrick is giving false and misleading information to the U.S. Congress." ~Source I asked, and this source was nice enough to respond to Kirkpatrick's Op-Ed, plus share some details related to the alleged UAP crash retrieval program. Read on for a look behind the curtain from a source of mine who's in a position to know some things. 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 "Kirkpatrick was on the job at AARO for only seventeen months so that doesn’t make him an expert on UAPs, compared to the decades spent by scientists like Jacques Vallee, Allen Hynek, Peter Sturrock, etc. "Kirkpatrick quotes Sagan’s 'extraordinary claims' assertion. Laypersons, some publicly prominent scientists, and some not-so-prominent scientists, don’t even realize that this assertion is not even written in the established scientific method. It’s an ad hoc slogan that Sagan used to impose his own confirmation bias and attack the credibility of anomalous phenomenon topics that Sagan deemed to be unworthy of scientific inquiry. "Sagan’s publicly promoted published paper on the post-nuclear war/apocalyptic nuclear winter catastrophe scenario became notorious later on because it was roundly technically criticized and disproven by atmospheric and geophysical science experts for being wrong who published their own papers showing that Sagan and coauthors used too many wrong/unsupported assumptions and wrong calculations to construct their model. "As per the legacy UAP crash-retrieval reverse-engineering programs that Kirkpatrick said doesn’t exist, AARO had no statutory authorities to seek out and interview any surviving retired top or mid-level civilian GS and SES officials, senior uniformed military officers, and the retired aerospace industry executives and project managers/engineers because AARO is not a law enforcement function nor an intelligence function. Thus, AARO staff cannot investigate American citizens because they will be faced with an extremely high USG legal bar to overcome to do such investigations. Sadly, many of those retirees have died over the years while some are still living (but getting older by the year). "Kirkpatrick’s comments that AARO could not find the contemporary descendants of the legacy (highly classified/compartmentalized) UAP crash-retrieval reverse-engineering programs, thus concluding that these programs never existed and that the UAP claims were just rumors that were based on leaks of non-UAP programs, is absolutely false and misleading. His statement completely contradicts the content of David Grusch’s classified whistleblower complaint submitted to the IG of the IC in 2022, as well as his public testimony at the House Oversight subcommittee last year plus the very recent classified briefings that the IG of the IC gave to that same committee. Kirkpatrick is giving false and misleading information to the U.S. Congress via AARO’s first investigation (history) volume. "Sadly, certain retired general/flag military officers, having direct knowledge of the legacy UAP crash-retrieval reverse-engineering programs, turned down AARO’s invitation to give official interviews. One can only speculate as to why. "Kirkpatrick went out of his way to discredit Robert Bigelow, Sen. Harry Reid, BAASS, and the DIA’s AATIP/AAWSAP in his SciAm Op-Ed. He also focused a bit on the so-called Skinwalker Ranch element of this program, which in fact was not at all the major element of the AATIP/AAWSAP. He cited this link in his derogatory comments: dia.mil/FOIA/FOIA-Elec… "Slide 7 in this linked document shows that the DIA actually gave a laudatory evaluation of BAASS’s project execution and deliverables to the AATIP/AAWSAP project management office. Slide 7 completely contradicts what Kirkpatrick sought to derogatorily convey by citing this linked document. "Dr. Jim Lacatski, DIA project manager of the AATIP/AAWSAP, made a statement in Chapter 9 of the book, 'Inside the U.S. Government Covert UFO Program: Initial Revelations' to the effect that the U.S. government has in its possession a UAP craft of unknown origin, but didn’t specify the date and location of its recovery. This statement was cleared for publication in this book by the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review. "This fact conclusively demonstrates that Kirkpatrick’s derogatory comments in his SciAm Op-Ed are entirely misleading.
