The U.S. Supreme Court’s unanimous ruling that racial segregation in public schools was unconstitutional is one of the most studied decisions in American history. But the briefs filed in Brown v. Board of Education reveal dimensions that the opinion alone does not capture. Those briefs are now accessible to everyone on the Internet Archive, thanks to the Wolf Law Library at @WMLawSchool. @internetarchive Internet Archive is a joke. Resources are never available, due to the damn locked Parent directory. Why is that? Would someone like to explain ... I have been asking this question for over a year without an answer

CBS initially rejected one of my Iraq expense reports because I didn't use the company's preferred rental car agency in Kirkuk -- during a war. We rented a 1972 Toyota pickup truck from a translator. The receipt was handwritten in Arabic. Apparently, we were supposed to use Hertz.

My employer has a new, astronomically awful expense-reporting system. Opaque, inefficient, and mind-bogglingly duplicative. Am I being too much of a smartass?

@internetarchive @mcmansionhell @waybackmachine So do you block AI scrapers from accessing the IA, or the archives of the publications that are limiting or blocking your access? You don't say. You say what the IA is not "intended" for. You say you spend time "working to prevent" it. But not "robots.txt blocks them".

Publishers have real questions about AI, but let’s be clear: @waybackmachine isn’t a backdoor for AI scraping. For 30 years, it’s been built for people, not bulk harvesting. We actively monitor to prevent abuse. Learn more ⤵️ techdirt.com/2026/02/17/pre…
