Let me get this straight… I can buy one of the UK’s major housebuilders for less than tangible book, with a £60B future revenue land pipeline, huge institutional ownership, decades of operating history, and a strategic landbank being converted from £5.6k plots into £44k plots, while the market treats it like a dying retailer with a lease problem. Apparently land, houses and planning permissions are worth nothing now. Useful to know.

This is absolutely insane:
If President Trump acquires Greenland, the land mass of the US would increase by ~22%.
And, the US now "controls" Venezuela which is ~10% the size of the US.
Adding both territories would increase the US' control of 1.18 million square miles of land.
This is the equivalent of adding ONE-THIRD of the existing US to its current size.
The US has never in its history gained control of that much land in a single year.
By comparison, the Louisiana Purchase in 1803 added ~830,000 square miles of land, or 30% LESS.
