@BasedBuff Please don’t start making annoying/ outrageous offers like Jet fans and Leaf fans
English

@AndrewHeaters 33 years old. Down year. Yes I know he’s the best goalie in the world but I wouldn’t give up more than that. Sorry not sorry.
English

Just want to reiterate:
American Hero Connor Hellebuyck is the Winnipeg Jets franchise player.
Chevy is on the cusp of being let go if he doesn’t win the trade at least on paper.
Although it be nice:
1st round pick
Josh Norris/McCloud/Krebs
UPL
Mrtka
Isn’t going to get it done fellas.
I just want to shoot you strait.
If you want Hellebuyck you’re going to have to be comfortable getting rid of one of the Sabres big boys.
If you don’t want to do that I’d start scouting other players.
With all due respect.

If the Sabres trade Konsta Helenius we riot at dawn
NHL Rumour Report@NHLRumourReport
Darren Dreger: Buffalo has a couple of high end prospects, Radim Mrtka being one, Konsta Helenius being the other, those names have been out there, they were out there at the deadline - First Up (6/26)
English

@LeafsDarkKnight Haha I’m just glad he didn’t go to Toronto he’s one of my favorites very hard working player and one of the better 4th line guys I’m glad we’re keeping him
English

@MarkusCross97 Thats fine swap for any other 4th liner. Would have loved him but he wasnt the center piece of the mock
English

Note: I didn’t include the Rielly/Joshua deals because i dont want to get torched from opposing teams fans for Cap Dumps. #LeafsForever

A.J. Greer will probably have a good amount of options on Wednesday.
The Sabres brought Malenstyn back but if they’re looking for more sandpaper and a good defensive forward Greer could make sense. expectedbuffalo.com/buffalo-sabres…

The #Sabrehood draft was the most interesting
Rudolph was a brazen pick
Behind him, the Sabres land a slew of upside and intrigue
Dominant physical profiles in Morozov and Murnieks
A true grinder in Dumont
And an athletic, but unrefined, driver in Szongoth
Very interesting

My Final 2026 Draft Grades are here!
I couldn't decide on an all-inclusive metric that combines value added and efficiency, so here are both rankings instead. Read the small print to understand what the two mean.
The San Jose Sharks added the most talent to their prospect pool this year, and it wasn't even close.
Calgary and Toronto also did great. The Flames consistently picked up players I liked, and for the Leafs, it's hard not to finish high here when you select Gavin McKenna.
On the lower end, Tampa Bay, Montreal, and Ottawa added the least to their prospect pools. Montreal and Ottawa also finished near the bottom of the efficiency rankings, which means their poor classes were mostly self-inflicted, not a product of a small number of picks.
Columbus, Nashville, St. Louis, Seattle, and Los Angeles were some of my most efficient teams. They picked a lot of my favorites later in the draft, such as Jardine & Di Iorio for CBJ and Cullen, Bleyl, Graf for NSH.
This draft was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to see how these prospects continue to develop in the coming years.

In other news, Forton also said 2024 second-rounder Adam Kleber "would have had an NHL contract waiting for him" but opted for a third year at Minnesota-Duluth. At 6-5, they are super high on him. Lots of pipeline riches on back end for #Sabres
