@SimonCalder Happened to me too on a basic economy fare on Delta (SEA-HNL). As soon as the departure gate was staffed by a delta agent I asked about ‘seat assigned at gate’. She assigned me an exit row seat. Once we were on board they told us it was a fully booked flight so I think that’s why

Can anyone with experience of Basic Economy on Delta help? Checking in for a flight 24 hours ahead, the seat map shows zero available seats. My boarding pass says a seat will be allocated at the gate. Is the flight oversold, or is this just a way of gently chastising cheapskates?

How about adding Groningen @AirportEelde to your list of destinations @TurkishAirlines ? Amsterdam already sees 4 widebody flights per day and there is definitely demand in the north of the Netherlands too for Istanbul and its hub connections

KLM announces it will launch a new route from Amsterdam (AMS) to Portland (PDX). Flights begin on October 27 with a 3x weekly Boeing 787-9: • KL615 Depart AMS 10:25 AM Arrive PDX at 11:25 AM • KL616 Depart PDX 1:25 PM Arrive AMS 7:50 AM (next day) Delta will end its own PDX-AMS route as KLM takes it over. KLM plans to increase PDX to 5x weekly in Summer 2025.
