Hearing that a fast tram link is being considered, linking East Grinstead and Three Bridges, partly along the Worth Way. It will be a shared route with cyclists and pedestrians, greatly facilitating EG train passengers, who currently can only travel in the direction of London.

It's deeply wrong to take pleasure at #ScottMills dismissal. It can impact the whole family. We were horrified when my brother was sacked for stealing from his job with the council's roadworks dept. But to be honest, when we looked in his bedroom the signs were all there.

‼️We're very sorry for the disruption that @SouthernRailUK and @TLRailUK customers have experienced today. The derailment of an empty train that wasn’t in passenger service at Selhurst depot this morning caused considerable disruption to our services. 🛤️The derailment also did some damage to the signalling equipment, which has meant that for safety reasons, one of the lines towards London Bridge will remain closed until the train has been re-railed and track repairs carried out. The train has been re-railed, and repairs to the track will also take place overnight once the train has been moved. ⏲️Because a number of trains and crew aren’t in the right places as a result of today’s disruption, there will be some disruption to train services tomorrow morning. 💻We’re asking customers to check the @SouthernRailUK and @TLRailUK websites and journey planners or social media for the latest travel information as we work hard to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.

Our forecourt drop-off charge is changing from 6 January. The minimum charge to use our designated drop-off zones will increase to £10. You can pay online, over the phone, or by setting up an AutoPay account. You can still drop off for free in the Long Stay car parks. Blue Badge holders also remain exempt from the charge.

Re birds (last repost) it's probably time to stop posting the daily bird detection reports, which began here on 17 April, with a few omissions for weather and absence. Loitering in St Margaret's Loop at dawn in winter is not a great idea, even though it's an amazing bird habitat.
