Day 1 - Charing Cross and Waterloo East 22-day line closure Work to replace nearly 2km of track, rebuild sections of platform and carry out repairs to the Hungerford Bridge and the Waterloo - Waterloo East pedestrian link bridge is now fully underway. @Christiane @Se_Railway Hi Christiane, there are two Golden Jubilee footbridges and lifts. As the station concourse is a worksite, people are advised to use the western footbridge and lifts for step free access across the river. I hope that helps.

I have a question where I would really need a definitive answer to because I got a totally opposite answers: Will the footbridge be open between Southbank and Charing Cross? Yes or No? And will it be the step-free route through the station or only the staircases next to the station? Whatever the answer is, please just tell people. Wheelchair users got 3 different answers.

We can't give a refund without a receipt or proof of purchase.

2/3 To help with this, we’ll have additional staff at London Underground station entrances to manually check and validate tickets where needed. If you're charged, you can claim a refund. Unfortunately, it isn’t practical to have Southeastern staff at every London Underground station to check tickets.  If your ticket isn’t accepted and you're charged, you can claim a refund.

It was another busy weekend as our engineering teams were hard at work across Kent & Sussex. 👷 🚆 Over 400 metres of new rail installed at Queenborough, with new rails and ballast laid at Horsham. 🔧 We prepared for our major switches and crossings (S&C) renewal at Waterloo East and platform works at Charing Cross this month. 🌉 Completed structural works at Foord Viaduct and Hungerford Bridge. 🚦 Continued our signalling improvements at Victoria and in the Lewisham area. ⚡ Installed new cabling equipment at Selhurst. 🏗️ Continued our repairs of the Barnham station canopy. 🚧 Every weekend, our engineers are out repairing, renewing and upgrading the railway to improve journeys for passengers travelling with @Se_Railway, @SouthernRailUK, @TLRailUK and @GatwickExpress. 🚆✨ Last weekend: 📍 In Kent: ✅ Completed the refurbishment of the Grove Lane and Bowdell level crossing. ⛰️🔹 Earthworks & Drainage – Mesh installation at the Maidstone Grammar School cutting to help prevent rock falls. 🌉🔹 Footbridge coating works at Petts Wood footbridge. 🛤️🔹 Renewed the track between Hither Green and Courthill South. 🚦🔹 Signalling – Continued our Victoria resignalling programme, with works and testing at Denmark Hill. 🔌🚦 Continued our Lewisham area resignalling project with cable works between St Johns and Grove Park. 📍 In Sussex: 🏗️✅ Completed canopy works at Barnham. 💧✅ Completed drainage works at South Bermondsey. ⚡✅ Undertook electrical refurbishment works at Leigh substation. 🙏 Thank you for your patience while this work took place, and a huge thank you to our teams who worked throughout the weekend to deliver these improvements. 👏🧡🚧🚆 #KeepingBritainMoving 🚉 #RailwayUpgrade 🛤️ #Engineering 👷 #RailwayWorks 💪
