@MrKeyseScience @Hookean1 Ohmic means V/I is a constant under normal operating conditions. So we switch the circuit off because to leave it on would simulate abnormal operating conditions.

@MaryWild @Hookean1 How are we defining "ohmic" here? Brought up on WJEC but teaching AQA, OCR and Edexcel...

@MaryWild I guess we will have to agree to disagree here. That first point in the screenshot I shared stated that bulbs obey Ohm's Law for low voltages. To me that is exactly the same as saying it is ohmic for low voltages.
