@BenMFreeman Putting aside the ethnicity issue why is this even a relevant question for admission to a hospital?

I visited hospital today (I am totally fine), and when I checked in I was asked by the receptionist to choose my ethnicity. When I said I Jewish, she stuttered, seemed unsure and ushered me to choose from the list on the sign next to her window. With no option, I chose 6Z - other ethnic group . I usually have no problem choosing ‘other’, but Jews are officially listed as an ethnicity in Scotland (being included in the 2022 census) and the rest of the U.K. So, why aren’t we on these official lists ? @NHSScotland

I am now more convinced than ever that the reason people like @ComicDaveSmith have never been and will probably never come to Israel is because it will shatter all their preconceived notions of the “evil supremacist” Israel. He will land in the airport and walk around for a few days looking for “apartheid”. He will find the most mix set of people he has ever seen enjoying life, Arabs and Jews in the same spaces going about their business. Needless to say he will connect with some self hating Israelis, there are a few left, (who never went anywhere and have no source of comparison) who will take him to Ramallah to show him the “real” Israel. Over there he will pass a checkpoint with Israeli soldiers that will check some permits (as he is now crossing to another jurisdiction, yes it’s a border ) and let him through, no drama. He may notice a sign if he bothers to look, saying that Israelis cannot enter the Palestinian Authority territories. In Ramallah some men driving Maseratis and Mercedes will tell him about the brutality of the “occupation”. Then they may take him to visit a “refugee camp” and he will be confused because there are no tents, just a crowded urban neighborhood like he may recognize from every city he’s ever been to. The “head״ of the refugee camp will drive up in a luxury vehicle and tell him how terrible the Israelis are. If he then wants to show he’s neutral he may visit the Gaza humanitarian distribution center down in Kiryat Gat and see the tons and tons of aid going into Gaza and may wonder how come there is “starvation”. If he goes to the border he may be surprised to see that a Mediterranean seaside territory doesn’t have snow or too much cold for that matter. All of this dissonance will be too much for his little brain to carry and it may blow a fuse. His eyes will tell him the opposite story he has told the world so confidently for over two years. This is why he will never come.

@sfrantzman @VerminusM @BlindJoeDef Getting the hostages out is the top priority however when it becomes the end all be all of conducting the war rather than defeating your enemy+as a result of that getting back your hostages then you end up with 2 yrs of what Israelis call full "gas while in neutral"

Do you think if Israel’s stated policy was just to immediately abandon hostages and basically tell the enemy life is cheap then the enemy won’t kidnap anymore? Do you think people respect countries that abandon their soldiers and hostages. When you read about some country in the global south where its soldiers and people get kidnapped and the country basically shrugs, does that inspire confidence? Didn’t the Israel of Entebbe strike more fear into its enemies than the one that lets its soldiers be held for years? Just a thought Back in the 1950s when the enemy tried to kidnap and murder Israel’s Ben-Gurion sent Sharon and 101 to take vengeance. Seems that policy worked decently

If you're willing to give up on battlefield achievements or change policies in return for hostages, you open yourself to endless extortion and your citizens at home and overseas to endless danger. Tomorrow, Iran will kidnap Israelis to protect its missile and nuclear program, Syria will kidnap Israelis to get the Golan Heights, and France will kidnap Israelis to stop Israel from selling superior weapons at air shows. This is suicidal behavior that invites aggression and kills more people than it saves. It also spits in the face of everyone who fought and suffered for these achievements—not just the soldiers, but the civilians who patiently weathered missiles, terrorism, and anxiety for their loved ones. Every sane Israeli should protest this madness as a matter of survival.

What's stupid about the whole "Gaza genocide" narrative is that it's full of pointless stories like "The IDF sends snipers to shoot children in the head" "The Aid distribution centres are death traps" "Israel floods Gaza with drugs" And the question is... for what? If the goal is truly to commit genocide, why doesn't Israel just impose a blockade and only do aerial bombing? Why bother doing all those cartoonish, ridiculous, evil things that are just endangering the lives of its soldiers??

MORE INFO: Clashes erupted between the Barbah clan and Hamas’s Arrow Unit after terrorists shot the son of the Barbah clan’s mukhtar in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis. In response, clan members attacked Hamas operatives at Nasser Hospital. According to reports from Gaza, heavy gunfire broke out inside and around the hospital. Smoke was seen rising from the area. @Abdulla___X6 A new arms race is definitely going to unfold but at the very least it's an arms race for conventional weapons rather than nuclear ones (which we allegedly have but would realistically never use)

@Abdulla___X6 With a 95% interception rate for missiles and 99% for drones from Iran...we got hit but the estimates were 800-4000 casualties in Israel and we ended up with 29 which is 29 too many but even so is impressive
