@NormalGayPsych I know I'm a biological female that's why I date bi women not straight women. If I was into men I'd do the same.

As a gay man, I love men. Biological men — adult human males with the biology I’m wired to be attracted to. Trans men are biological women. I’m not attracted to that. That’s not bigotry. That’s called being gay. Sexuality isn’t a hate crime. Preferences aren’t phobias. If you need to rewrite basic biology and shame gay people into pretending otherwise, maybe the problem isn’t us. Same-sex attraction exists for a reason. Let’s stop erasing it. Who else is tired of this gaslighting? 👇

Bayswater Support
Bayswater Support@BayswaterSG·
The most important focus for our group is offering peer-to-peer support for parents of trans-identified children. Parenting a child in distress is challenging, stressful, isolating and upsetting. Support from other parents, who understand your situation is invaluable. That sense of isolation and distress is compounded for our parents by poor public understanding of the complex and multifactorial nature of trans identity. Friends and family may not appreciate the need for caution around social transition. Many parents are dealing with schools who fail to appreciate the safeguarding risks linked to a cross-sex identity. But perhaps the greatest source of anxiety for @BayswaterSG parents comes from an awareness that our healthcare institutions have failed these children and young adults. A parent of a child with asthma, diabetes or a congenital heart defect can trust the health service to treat their child in line with the best available evidence. That has not been the case in gender medicine, where unevidenced treatments have been rolled out to thousands of children and young adults. Normal clinical diligence around new and unproven treatments was abandoned, and a shift to a more cautious approach has been slow in paediatric services and non-existent in adult services. None of our parents could ever have imagined that they might have to protect their child from the health service that is supposed to look after them. So we offer a space to connect to other parents who understand these difficulties.

@_SleepyGamer With the exception of the small number who have had phalloplasty they can't by definition in my country as rape requires use of a penis. More importantly trans men are not socialised to commit acts of sexual violence as males are.

@Battt1812 I never conflated trans and cis people. Saying trans men are not men is accurately reflecting biological truth.

"trans men are seen as women and trans so they face worse" trans men face misogyny due to how they are born, and transphobia due to transgressing the patriarchy. trans women also face those two things, as well as transmisogyny for the intersection of transgressing into womanhood

Steph Richards: (She/her) - Say NO to hate.
Dear @transwidows and @jk_rowling In the past, you have made a lot of noise, yes, on Twitter, in the Sunday Telegraph and elsewhere in the media. Once, you even got an invite to give evidence to the Women and Equalities Select Committee about (shock, horror) your hubby becoming trans. I noticed none of you trans widows wanted to show your face, though – that it was ‘decided’ to give evidence in writing. Um – I wonder why? Strange that – other campaigners would want exposure for their cause – be wanting to put a case forward in front of the cameras. After all, it was certainly not your fault that hubby started to like wearing dresses – that you became a “trans widow”. But do you not realise that he almost certainly tried to “man up?”  That yes, perhaps he has known secretly of his shame and guilt for decades, but in good faith, he honestly felt this would all pass? But it didn’t, did it? Something in life we can’t control. Destiny. And you were the victim? Sorry – but get real. Because you are not true widows, not like Rachel Moss, who quite rightly called you out five years ago (link below) – your husband did not take his life as Rachel’s did; your kid(s) were not left without a father. Rachels were. Is that your shame? That word: “widow“. Guess what? You are not the first partner in this world to have your life thrown upside down by circumstances beyond your control. I was married for 27 years to the same wife. Then, in four days – yes, four traumatic, mind-blowing days everything changed. I was pretty sure something was “wrong”. It was Tuesday; she said she was going away to see a girlfriend (what girlfriend?) for the weekend – leaving Thursday and back Sunday. But I was 99% certain that was a lie, and it was. Sure, she was back Sunday late afternoon, but a quick check of her car revealed the truth. That day was 12th July 1998 – that evening, the World Cup final, Brazil v France. Exactly twenty-eight years and two days ago. She thought I was watching the football, but I wasn’t – I was watching her!    Then she quickly slipped out of the room to make “that” phone call, and I heard every word. The next day.... our three kids and I were ‘toast’. Gone. Gone in an instant, together with her clothes and belongings. I remember taking my wedding ring off and throwing it into a drawer. It is still lying there twenty-eight years later – untouched. I was an involuntary single parent. Cooking, mending, cleaning. Getting the kids to school and back home again. Making excuses to the school about why their work was falling apart. My world fell apart, the successful business that I started with just £7 gone too. People knocking on the door demanding money for debts. I could not pay them – I could not cope – but I had to – and I did. Recently, I met that seven-year-old kid from 1998 – my daughter for lunch. She revealed that before her mum left, she could not remember a thing. She can’t remember her mum living in the family home with her brothers and me. Those days out we all had as a family, all laughs and smiles. That holiday in Spain, where I smacked her for being so naughty, and I have felt guilt ever since. Seven years of her life were gone too. Gone in an instant through shock? So, dear trans widows, please don’t whine because your life has changed; okay, it is not your fault – but that man in your life can no longer pretend. Unlike me, when my marriage crashed (it happens to millions of folks every year, by the way), I had no choice but to get on with it. So, was I an adultery widow? Are there gambling widows? Alcoholic widows? Bullied widows? Loveless widows? No, there are not. Some people are hurt, resentful, wish it could have been different – but they are not true widows like Rachel Moss unless, sadly, hubby has passed. Trans widows – your partner hasn’t died; he decided to live! So yes, your hubby may become ‘she’. You may split up and go your separate ways. Or perhaps be like my second wife (who sadly passed two years ago), who was understanding that I was trans. I loved her so much and still miss her so badly. But one thing is sure – the phrase “trans widow” is offensive to many genuine widows who have lost their loved ones. rachelemoss.com/2021/06/24/a-l…

@MarsAttacs @WillyWoofter @EHRC Except I don't, you wouldn't even notice me. Whereas I would make women uncomfortable and prevent people from keeping female single sex space only for females by allowing any male to claim to be a trans man and enter.

@Battt1812 Except that sexism and racism are based on regressive stereotypes. That trans men are female is a biological fact and nor is it transphobia. Transphobia is mistreating and abusing trans people for being trans.

@DinkyRinger I don't 'identify' as female, it's something I immutably am. I'm not a butch on testosterone because I have dysphoria and transitioned to make it better. That doesn't magically render me male though.

@_SleepyGamer I don't say I'm a man I say I'm a trans man. I detest my genitalia but can't change what I have. I don't intrude on women's spaces and would never use regular female single sex space. I go to one group that is specifically open to women and trans men.

@sarahbeliveaux They don't disrespect me. They recognise both that I'm female and that I'm dysphoric and trans. Meanwhile look at the 'respect' I get from my supposed community. Like being told I should have been correctively raped.
