I'm thinking of making a Mac app that converts your files when you rename them. So you would rename recording.webm -> recording.mp4 and it would automatically convert it. I'm primarily building this for myself but wondering if anybody else wants this?

@eltintero These are the tips that you only learn when you actually deploy a solution and the tips that businesses actually need, but they usually aren’t sexy enough to get the attention they deserve. Good stuff bro.

Talked to a client this week who's rebuilding their entire system, Not because it's broken. Because their team refuses to use it. The tool technically works. Nobody wants to touch it. Here's what I keep seeing: - Companies optimize for features, not for the person clicking through it 50 times a day. - You can build the most powerful system in the world. If your team hates opening it, you've built an expensive paperweight. - Ttool adoption isn't a training problem. It's a "why did we choose this tool" problem. - Your CRM does everything—can your team find what they need in 3 clicks? - Your project tool has infinite custom fields—does anyone know what they mean? (this happened with our own previous CRM) I've watched more businesses struggle with their tools than with the work they couldn't do. The work gets done. The tool either helps or gets in the way.

This AI tool just ended "analysis paralysis" on YouTube forever With a very short prompt, it ran a full analysis of my channel and came up with video ideas with outlier backed research Reply with "TOOL" and I'll DM you the AI

@BacLeodiv So your “hot take” is that getting paying customers is important? Too hot for my liking!

Hot take: A solo founder with distribution is more dangerous than a funded team without it.

@maestrotimk Are you saying ‘lead magnet’ wasn’t a known term before 2022??

I was the first person to popularize the "lead magnet" on LinkedIn. Nobody really knows this about me But back in 2022, The first lead magnet I shipped on LinkedIn got a couple thousand comments. This was BEFORE lead magnets had a name. The feed was in a desperate state and nothing was working for anyone. Then, I posted my first "comment for X" on a Wednesday afternoon. In the next 48 hours... I watched the comment section go from zero to 4 digits. My stomach dropped. I had just rebuilt my entire business around something that didn't have a name yet. The next twelve months I distributed roughly 21,000 of those magnets via email. Built an email list I'd never had before. Built a calendar full of qualified inbound for the first time in two years. The lesson nobody tells you about timing the market: it doesn't feel like timing the market. Feels like you noticed something obvious.

@DanielPriestley This is an over simplification If you have bad content but post 10x a day, you’re still going to get bad results. The real key is that quality comes with quantity…unless you’re dumb

If your content isn’t landing, it’s not because it’s “bad”, it’s because the dose is too small. One short doesn’t create memory – repetition does. The benchmark is 7-11-4 - 7 hours of content, 11 interactions, 4 platforms. That’s when people start to remember you, trust you, and take you seriously. @MattPenny99 Also very true, so the question is maybe not which is best but if one both is good they compound.

@ruanraaths_ @HyperFrames_ We’re super close It’s possible but from experience it’s takes a bit of baby sitting at the moment. With some skills and templates it will improve massively in the next month or two.

AI is going to eat video editors. Tools like @HyperFrames_ are putting the AI cats amongst the pigeons. In the intro I said “better” than human video editors. I wanna take that back. It’s not better yet. Just much faster and much cheaper. But give it 3-6 months and I reckon it will be. A lot more AI video content to come. Stay tuned.

We will find out! 1. optional feature, fits in nicely since the tool already annotates any file; primary is markdown 2. Interesting to think about cost tradeoffs of cleaner explainers upfront, or in review, and how much they save (cost, tokens/rerolls). I will personally spend some time (@backnotprop) measuring. 3. Maybe models will optimize for this? Could always template, but thats no fun. Transparently, the example in video: HTML: 7,000 tokens MD eqiv: 1,300 tokens

Shipped a daily tweet bot today. 5:30pm it reads my work journal + today's meeting transcripts, drafts 2–4 tweets in my voice, pings Telegram. I reply 'post 1,3' or 'edit 2: …' → it publishes via Typefully. Silence past 11pm = drops everything. This one's a draft.

AI made it 10x faster to write code. It didn’t make it 10x faster to ship products people actually use.
