@lawbal44 What grain will you have in creep feeders?

First two mobs of ewes and lambs onto crop today. With no follow up rain in sight decided I’m going to ration it. 1 day in, 1 day out with grain and hay, feeders with creep gates next week, wean at the end of the month.

Last seasons composite lambs starting to be sold. Put $18/ head of grain into them over last few months. I think you need to be set up to feed lambs if store market is under pressure.

@Lukecarr1982 What are these worth roughly if you don’t mind? Seem to be a couple of locals going away from other handlers to one of these to go back to ‘simple’

Utilised our Proway Bulk Handler recently as a mobile unit. Drenching/ vacc lambs and composite ewes. It’s one of those changes we should have made years ago. Quick, easy, no struggle. Our worker in the video is 75 years old, drenching and vac lambs.

@Nod628 @Jusakstud Looks similar to us a week ago, drove to one side of windrow and seem to sort it 🤷‍♂️

Can anyone help shed some light on why the pick up front is doing this? It’s on a CR9060 I think I’ve tried nearly everything, stripper plate in and out , table auger up down, right in,right out, done just about every adjustment I can do🤷🏻‍♂️

Lick feeders are great for dry sheep but are a nightmare when dropping lambs. Counted 8 dead lambs. I'm guessing twins

@Tedthekelpie Zinc Sulfate, they aren’t lame but they’ve either been standing in Water or Clover from months so it’s prime conditions for scald

@agrobaz @s_simpfendorfer Interesting, Tottenham had the most infections, earliest out of the sites we have. But site a little later sown due to rain. Coolah and Flanker are a bit concerning but others seem to be ok. No Sunflex in unfortunately

Yield loss predictions from stripe rust proving difficult with the high severity of the disease and concerningly low varietal resistance. 2nd fungicide mostly on, will run out by flowering. Big call to do a 3rd but also want to protect yield 🤔 @s_simpfendorfer

I got a bit lazy on this headland on the first pass rust spray. Rockstar wheat. First pass propiconazole, 4 weeks since spraying.
