Bungie asking reviewers to hold reviews of @MarathonTheGame until the release of the endgame zone is a gross move to trick consumers. You released a game incomplete. Your game should get rated for how it released. If it gets better later, people can report on it accordingly.

More than likely this is a book to retcon/rebrand the various "Defying fate" plot gimmicks that didnt land in remake. World of warcraft did the same thing with different forms of media as well. Defenders of the story gimmicks in Re series will say "but didn't you read the novel! it so totally makes sense (despite being released after the fact) If you have to release a novel later to clean up your lore.... your story failed.
