Next time, let’s wait until Iran has nuclear-armed ICBMs, 10,000 ballistic missiles, a Chinese- and Russian-built military, a million attack drones, a fully operational terror network, and hundreds of billions to harden its economy. Then we’ll fight to reopen Hormuz.

Trump’s latest tweet highlights the core dilemma facing the administration, whether to pursue a deal with a regime that is far from rational or predictable, or to escalate militarily in ways that could trigger severe economic and security fallout across the region due to an expected Iranian response. The problem is that threats alone are unlikely to produce results. The Iranian regime is not easily impressed by pressure, and it is unlikely to make meaningful concessions under coercion. At the same time, the fragmented and complex nature of Iran’s power structure means that if those threats are actually carried out, the consequences could be far more severe. More than anything, this reflects the administration’s lack of good options. The underlying assumption that Iran will behave like a conventional, rational actor risks leading to significant miscalculations. There is no easy solution here. #IranWar

🚨🚨🚨Trump on Truth Social: The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran. Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately “Open for Business,” we will conclude our lovely “stay” in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet “touched.” This will be in retribution for our many soldiers, and others, that Iran has butchered and killed over the old Regime’s 47 year “Reign of Terror.” Thank you for your attention to this matter

Iran did do this. Hit Weizmann Institute less than a year ago. The coverage, outrage, rhetoric, and reactions were very muted globally.

There’s outrage when Israel tries to protect minorities at holy sites but no outrage when Iranian missiles hit holy sites. We are living in morally disgraceful times.

The massive psyop of much of the western media to convince the Revolutionary Guards they are winning and the US is losing, thereby hardening the Persian Pharaos' hearts, and making it impossible for them to make reasonable compromises with the US, is the greatest gift they are making to ensure this war ends with nothing less than the fall of the current regime.

The U.S. and Israel are achieving in just a matter of weeks what it took Allies a couple years to do with their strategic bombing campaign against the Nazis in WW2. I'm also confident that the customers of the NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, etc. will not learn of this and other military achievements because it doesn't fit their narrative that we're losing our ineffective military operation against the Islamic regime of Iran. The media is actively misleading the American public. The media also bemoans the massive loss of trust in them as an essential institution in our society. They should take a long look in the mirror when they talk about the causes of the loss of this trust.

All three of Iran's largest steel plants were struck simultaneously last night. Mobarakeh. Esfahan. Khuzestan. 70% of Iran's steel output. Gone in one night. Iran built its steel industry specifically to survive sanctions. Israel hit the sanction hedge. - @MarioNawfal

Hezbollah has fired over 10,000 rockets from Southern Lebanon toward residential areas of Israel over the last few years. Just wondering how many rockets it takes and for how long before Israel is allowed to respond?

As someone who absolutely fears the left's growing power, I think the smart play is for moderate Dems to go on Piker's show and agree with him that Israel is bad and then stick to their guns on other moderate stuff.

Hasan isn’t driving a wedge into the party, the failed, repeatedly discredited yet unfortunately still entrenched corporate wing of the party is. They fear the left’s growing power and see Hasan as a way to make us argue amongst ourselves. We shouldn’t fall for it.

Wow. This is huge. Remember the Minab school strike that killed 170 children? Quoting @GhazalRanjkesh, who just shared the raw voice message from the family of Mehdi Salari—the boy killed in the Minab school strike. One of the parents is finally speaking out, and it destroys the entire regime’s propaganda narrative. This school and these children’s deaths are literally the one thing the Islamic Republic and its supporters worldwide use to scream “US and Israel attacked innocent kids!” But here’s the truth straight from the family: Even if it was an American missile that hit the building, the blood of Mehdi and every child who died is 100% on the Islamic Republic’s hands. Who the hell puts a military IRGC radar on top of a school full of children? They turned that school into a legitimate military target, then the very next day sent their state TV (Seda va Sima—IRGC media) to harass the grieving mother while she was fainting from shock, demanding she recount the “martyr’s memories.” Can you still blame the US and Israel after hearing this from the child’s own family? Every single life lost in Iran—and beyond—is ultimately the fault of the terrorist regime of the Islamic Republic. They weaponize their own people. They hide behind their own children. Then they blame everyone else. No more excuses. Please share this so the world can hear their voice. The claims that the boy, Jawad, was tortured are a blatant lie. It is despicable that @SkyNews is providing a platform for fabricated propaganda. Jawad’s father admitted that he is a Hamas operative and that he took Jawad with him as a human shield. Any harm to a child is tragic. As the IDF has stated, it is possible that Jawad was injured by splinters resulting from warning shots fired at his father. Jawad was examined by an Israeli physician and later transferred to the Red Cross.

@MasMas2171 @GhazalRanjkesh Interesting, now it makes sense the radar was a decoy to make Americans hit the school. This is Hamas level tactics and playbook all over again. Using civilians as cannon fodder for public opinion.

I find it absolutely astonishing (and disgusting at that) that we have Americans advocating and being all cozy to nations who have actively worked against our democratic principles and freedoms (and likely for monetary gain). There is 0 logical reason any American official or media or your average American in general should be advocating anything in regards to Russia, Iran, Venezuela etc etc.

If the IDF had anything to hide they would not have called in the Red Cross. Not once did Hamas allow the Red Cross access to the 251 people it kidnapped, raped and tortured.
Alex Gandler@AlexGandler

This is a deeply troubling example of the abandonment of basic journalistic standards. What @SkyNews appears to be doing here is constructing a narrative that places sole blame on the IDF, while disregarding critical and verified context. As was clearly communicated to media outlets this past week, the child in question was used as a human shield by his father who is a known Hamas terrorist. We categorically reject any allegation of wrongdoing toward the child. He was transferred safely to his family through the International Committee of the Red Cross. The decision to film and broadcast this segment, without due diligence, without balance, and relying on highly questionable testimony, including that of a doctor whose claims do not withstand scrutiny and a father linked to Hamas, is not journalism. It is narrative-building. This is not news. It falls far short of the standards expected of a serious media organisation and should be called out in the strongest possible terms.
