Happy 1st anniversary, Mark Carney! -Deficit doubled -Highest food inflation in the G7 -2nd highest unemployment in the G7 -No pipelines approved -Homebuilding dropping 15% -Immigration system still broken -Violent crime skyrocketing in our major cities A year later, illusion meets reality. Congratulations, sir, you’re just another Liberal.

Last month, the Liberals announced $230 million of new funding for Nunavut, or about $6,000 per person in the territory. Now Nunavut’s NDP MP, Lori Idlout, is crossing the floor to join the Liberals. Funny how life works.

This is fun! Four years ago, The @Guardian reported that Spain and Portugal are becoming too dry because of [man-made] climate change. 🏜️ But, after the devastating floods in the fall of 2024, The Guardian changed their tune. They now say Spain is too wet thanks to climate change. 🌧️ The real-world data, however, tells a consistent story. A study published in Nature last March analyzed long-term rainfall data in the Mediterranean and found that no statistically significant trends exist in the region as a whole. 🗨️ “𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑤𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑀𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑝𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑙𝑎𝑟𝑔𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑟𝑦 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 1871 𝑡𝑜 2020, 𝑎𝑙𝑏𝑒𝑖𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑠𝑖𝑔𝑛𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑚𝑢𝑙𝑡𝑖-𝑑𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑑𝑎𝑙 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑣𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦… 𝑊ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑏𝑒 𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑒𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑑𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑢𝑏𝑟𝑒𝑔𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠, 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠 𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑏𝑢𝑡𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑙𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑎𝑡𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑝ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑐 𝑑𝑦𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑐𝑠, 𝑤ℎ𝑖𝑐ℎ 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑏𝑒 𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑡𝑙𝑦 𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑣𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦.” 🔗 nature.com/articles/s4158… Interestingly, in Spain, there has been little trend in rainfall since 1871. However, if the analysis starts in 1951, there is a significant decrease (p <0.05), while starting in 1981 yields a statistically significant increase (p <0.05). This just goes to show that people (like the writers at The Guardian) can manipulate data to get a desired trend to suit a specific narrative.

This is beyond every limit. This is Ukraine. This is the kind of “culture” coming from Kyiv. And this is the man Brussels admires and the country they want to fast-track into the European Union. No one can threaten Hungary or its Prime Minister. No one can blackmail us just because we refuse to pay the price of Ukraine’s war and refuse to accept higher energy prices because of Ukraine. No matter how much @ZelenskyyUa threatens, and no matter how closely he cooperates with @vonderleyen and @ManfredWeber, the political ally of the Tisza Party in Brussels, we will not allow them to drag Hungary into the war.

$CNQ Canadian Natural Delays Oil Sands Project on Govt Uncertainty Canadian Natural Resources is delaying a C$8.25 billion ($6 billion) oil sands mine project due to the “lack of finalization” of government policies on carbon pricing and methane, President Scott Stauth said on an earnings call. Canadian Natural deferred front-end capital costs for an expansion at Jackpine Mine in Alberta, initially included in their 2026 capital budget. Stauth cited “uncertainty, economic burden for our long-term growth investments” surrounding regulatory policies. The company will reassess the project’s viability “once there is more certainty,” Stauth said. (Bloombereg)

Look what Trudeau and @MarkJCarney cost Canada's energy sector. Hundreds of billions of dollars in lost investment and tax revenue. Because of Liberal mismanagement, the CAD dollar fell to .70 cents and added $700 Billion of debt, all while Carney advised Trudeau on economics.

Aboriginal law expert, Tom Isaac on the recent Musqueam First Nation agreements: “It is, from a process point of view, it’s, and I’ll say it again, absolutely unacceptable that public democratic governments are entering into agreements acknowledging Aboriginal title in any form when it’s an exclusive right to land, according to the Supreme Court of Canada, without consulting in some way with their constituency, which is the public” westernstandard.news/bc/expert-slam…
