Enough is enough. Democrats need to come to their senses & join us in voting to fund DHS. The Secret Service, who Democrats have refused to fund for months, bravely stopped an attack on our government leaders this weekend. It's time to do the responsible thing and fund @DHSgov.

Iran would be wise to take President Trump at his word.  They can choose the easy way or the hard way.

The United States of America must always be prepared to use overwhelming military force when necessary to defend our national security interests and protect Americans at home and abroad. And, a President should have the latitude to make decisions to that end, but only to the extent that those decisions are also consistent with the inherent authority of a Commander-in-Chief under the U. S. Constitution and the provisions of the War Powers Resolution. To date, I have supported the President’s decisions relating to the Iranian conflict because they were consistent with these authorities and the ultimate goal of protecting national security interests. At the same time, what sets America apart is not only our strength, but how we use it. Our nation has always conducted military operations for just causes and through just and moral means. This must continue in the future; otherwise we forfeit our legitimacy to lead the world. So, let me be clear: I do not support the destruction of a "whole civilization." That is not who we are, and it is not consistent with the principles that have long guided America.  I have and will continue to support a strong national defense—one that is focused, disciplined, and firmly rooted in protecting the safety and security of the American people. But, how we protect the lives of the innocent is just as important as how we engage the enemy. America is great because America is good.

These are not the words of a sane person. Calling for the elimination of a civilization is a war crime. As I’ve repeatedly said, our military must only follow lawful orders. Every American of good conscience must repudiate this.

In an age of creeping relativism, a universal moral law still exists. Threatening to end an entire civilization of 90 million people in order to bend a nation’s conduct to your will is grossly morally wrong. It is evil. And we should say this loudly.

Due to the Democrat’s Shutdown, I’ve asked the Financial Clerk of the Senate to hold my salary. It’s not right for Members of Congress to be paid if the working men and women of DHS aren’t.

For the umpteenth time Democrats said YES to funding TSA — no conditions, just YES — and Senate Republicans tried to go along, and TRUMP SAID NO.

We now know why Republicans in DC have been blocking TSA funding. It’s because President Trump wants to use TSA as leverage to pass his voter suppression bill. Enough with the games. Fund TSA now.

You can’t make this stuff up!! ICE agents show up at airports, and suddenly TSA wait times in Minneapolis drop to less than five minutes! Called it!! 😂😂😂

Republicans passed a law that gives ICE agents a $10,000 bonus every year for the next four years. Those same Republicans are blocking a vote to pay TSA officers anything at all.

Trump said we had to attack Iran because we can‘t allow it “to have a nuclear weapon.” Really? This is the same president who, in June, said: “Iran’s nuclear facilities have been obliterated.” Vietnam. Iraq. Iran. Another lie. Another war.

The unthinkable reports that a refugee was detained and then subsequently released in a way that put his life at risk is yet another example of the Trump Administration's baseless targeting of refugees, and Border Patrol’s long-standing practice of refusing to release people safely. Human rights must come first. Congress must rein in this lawless agency, and not give another dollar to ICE and Border Patrol.  cnn.com/2026/02/26/us/…
