My son’s surgery has been scheduled for more than 6 months. Today, 3 days before surgery, @BCBSM denied his claim. Apart from being highly unethical this should be illegal. Abolish healthcare insurance and keep 3rd parties out of medical decisions.

A family friend has to replace their central air unit. A coworker is getting a new refrigerator delivered today. Another coworker took his wife and 5 kids to a hotel. $42????

@Megabyted Unfortunately our little neighborhood loses power more often than anywhere else I’ve seen. It’s very unreliable and gives me a lot of anxiety thinking any storm, snow or wind we could be out for days

So our power went on Friday July 3rd around 6pm because of storms. DTE has the estimated restoration time as 11:30pm ON JULY 8TH (We are fine. I lost the food in the fridge because we were gone. But I have a generator for the freezer and other small things)

@RNSuperHero Same. One of my biggest fears during any storm is losing power. We lost it during a snow “storm” a few years ago and were out for almost 3 days, there weren’t even a ton of outages either.

Consumers Energy at 6:30AM still reporting over 105K without power. We are one of them. Our restoration is still 24 hours from time we lost power and reported it. 6:30pm is our ETR. What a joke.

@Etanarachel For some people who are diagnosed later as adults they don’t realize they’re “unmasking.” It’s like the brain decided to just say “Hey eveyone knows we’re different now, why hide it,” and they can’t always control the level of unmasking.

@lisavsworld I sent multiple messages to get an ENT referral because I have a past history of ear issues. Surgeries. The NP (not knocking all NPs) intercepted my message to my doctor and said to do an allergy med first. Ended up getting a terrible ENT that took years to switch.

My doctor recently wanted me try a new medication that wasn't covered by my insurance. She said to call around for the cheapest price and then message her for where to send it. So I did as she said, and then sent her a message. I received a VERY rude response from the office secretary that my message was not the appropriate procedure and that I would have to make an appointment. She then ENDED the message thread so I couldn't even respond. Yes, I Karen'd the absolute sh*t out of her in retaliation. I've been in this system too long, too many delayed and missed diagnoses that I've learned polite behavior gets you absolutely nowhere in medicine.

@techhsiren I want to give her a belly brace after seeing this photo. I know her round ligament pain was off the charts. I was so big with my second that he permanently stretched ligaments, with my third I had a brace by month 5.

remember a few months ago when vanessa hudgens was like about to give birth and this image of her out in public with the belly out went viral for being "gross" and "a bit much" and i lost my mind on the tl? no one knew it yet but i was pregnant and i would have been defensive of her regardless but i have now reached similar levels of largeness and discomfort and not-giving-a-fuckness and i just want to reiterate my my deepest FUCK YOU to anyone who fought me on that, especially the men, because you really have no idea what you're talking about and women deserve so much more grace for going through this to bring a child into the world for you my belly is so large (i literally have to get an emergency ultrasound bc my OB is concerned about its size) that the skin is itchy af just from being stretched and any fabric touching it feels unbearable so if we look this large and ugly and we're still letting the belly hang out there's a reason and u should stay respectful about it
