@SurenNaidoo @Hyprop @MassmartSA @Walmart Walmart is opening in 4ways. Whethere they open in Clearwater Mall or Fourways Mall firat depends on timing and fitout. Fourways Mall is a much larger mall and the store will be larger. I was there on Friday. I've seen their box.

Massmart@MassmartSA

Following a great deal of speculation, interest & predictions, we’re delighted to announce that the first @Walmart Store will be in Clearwater Mall and we cannot wait to bring a world-class shopping experience to the west of Johannesburg! Stay tuned for more details.

🚨Is Bryanston, Johannesburg about to get its own Red Light District⁉️😳 This property has been dormant for a while, and I have been waiting eagerly to see what becomes of it. It’s such a large, prominent erf in the middle of leafy, beautiful Bryanston. But I’m still not sure what in the KFC bucket is going on with this red wall😅 If you are familiar with this site, with its high walls and grandiose entrance gate, you will know that it has one of the most extravagant multi-million-rand mansions built on it. Think marble staircases and an abnormal amount of crystal chandeliers… I know that a local developer recently purchased the site, and there was big talk about something exciting coming. What I do not know is what they are thinking with this outrageous red wall?🤣 Perhaps nouveau riche on another level… More recently, the words “Red Light District” have been painted on the wall. Way to provoke the neighbourhood😅 Such a prominent wall makes such a statement by quite literally “painting the town red.” I am dying to see this new development. Once I get the scoop, I’ll be sure to share it here with you first. Have you seen this red wall in Bryanston?

President Cyril Ramaphosa ends his SONA2025 address by urging South Africans tospeak of "empathy, of compassion for each other" and "the pride we have in our country". Building the South Africa we want requires us to work with each other, he says, not to shout at each other.

One of the fundamental requirements for a functional democracy and a peaceful world is that -while interpretations differ - there is a shared commitment to upholding truth. Once that is disrupted, and ideology determines reality, the world is a far more dangerous, unstable place.

I’m very sorry, this has to be said. You can thank me later. The DA’s conduct regarding the BELA Bill and now the Expropriation Act is utterly disgraceful. What is wrong with you? Have you completely lost sight of the purpose and sanctity of the rule of law? Have you completely lost sight of the principles of democracy intent on getting your way no matter the cost? This marks a new low and, frankly, is profoundly disappointing. While one may criticise the DA, as I have, no one could credibly argue that it is a party that disregards the rule of law - a principle it has long championed. But now? What on earth is going on? Get a grip. You lost the fight in Parliament. It is entirely unacceptable to exploit your position in Cabinet to undermine the role of Parliament and attempt to overturn a law that was duly passed. The proper, lawful course of action is to take the matter to judicial review - not to expect the President or the Executive to act against the will of Parliament. A Minister refusing to implement a law passed by Parliament is nothing short of constitutional delinquency. This behaviour is reckless, demagogic, and an affront to the principles of democracy. Have some shame. Or leave GNU like you threaten all the time, Chicken Little. Go.

Democratic Alliance leader John Steenhuisen has lambasted President Cyril Ramaphosa’s decision to sign the Expropriation Bill into law and suggested it may prompt his party to reconsider its position in the governing coalition. mg.co.za/politics/2025-…

Did you know? 👀 Sprinkled all over the V&A Waterfront precinct in Cape Town are bollards. Bollards have been around for thousands of years. They are short, solid structures that create a protective perimeter. Their stand-out presence is used to block off certain areas and guide traffic. What you might not know, is that before bollards started being manufactured, cannons were used. The next time you are walking quayside throughout the Waterfront precinct, see if you can spot the cannons for yourself.
