🚨BREAKING: Drift Protocol just got drained for over $200 million Solana's largest perps DEX. Gone in one transaction batch. The attacker didn't find a smart contract bug. They didn't exploit a flash loan. They walked in with the keys. On-chain data shows a single account initiating massive outbound transfers. SOL, JitoSOL, WETH, wrapped BTC, stablecoins in USD, EUR, and JPY. Even FARTCOIN. They took the FARTCOIN. A blockchain security researcher confirmed what everyone suspected: a private key compromise. The admin signer was either leaked or someone with access pulled the trigger themselves. And here's what makes it worse. The attacker funded the wallets a week before the exploit. Ran a test transaction. Then waited. This wasn't a hack. This was a heist with a rehearsal. Phantom Wallet already cut off access to the protocol. Drift posted about "unusual activity" and told users to stop depositing. $200 million gone and the official response is "unusual activity." Some estimates put the real number closer to $270 million. We won't know until the dust settles and the wallets stop moving. The funds are already being swapped to USDC and bridged to Ethereum. Classic exit playbook. The space might have the most gullible people. Everyone’s falling for the April fools jokes. Anyways, i think it’s time… I am officially leaving the NFT space. After 5 years, I’ve realized that this journey has been a significant setback for my career. My own platform offered a much more authentic and stress-free environment. What was once a community of art enthusiasts has transformed into a landscape of fraudulent collectors and manipulated auctions. I’ve voiced these concerns, and while it clearly hit a nerve, some collectors have confirmed these unfortunate truths to me privately. My priority is my art, and I refuse to compromise my integrity in an ecosystem that lacks mutual respect. My time and my vision are far too precious for this. I have a question for @ApeChainHUB & @apecoin , and it’s a serious one @OxSimpleFarmer , one of the people working for $APE, is launching a new collection on ETH… So far, fine. But how do you think others are going to see this? How am I supposed to see it as a builder within APE? With all due respect, I find it a bit embarrassing that someone who works within APE and represents it chooses to go to ETH to launch a new collection (although, given the current state of the APE ecosystem, maybe it’s not that surprising). But really… someone who is REPRESENTING and WORKING within APE decides to go to ETH instead of supporting APE? This doesn’t feel right. And honestly, it’s time to stop staying silent about these things. It’s always the same story, with the same people. It’s honestly becoming embarrassing. We build, we bring in new people, we contribute… and in the end, what happens to the real builders? Are they just kicked out? Since the beginning, $APE has only gone down! And I’m no longer buying the excuse that it’s a new chain, that we’re early… no, that’s not it. There are ways and ways of doing things—ways to support people who actually have a long-term vision. But as always, this feels like a closed circle, almost like a “mafia.” People don’t speak up because they’re afraid of being canceled or pushed aside. I’m 24 years old, eager to work, to learn, and to keep expanding my IP. I’m not afraid, and I know very few will dare to respond to this post—but deep down, I know many of you think something similar. In the end, real builders start looking outside of APE, and if things don’t improve, there will eventually be a massive migration. Everything I’ve written comes from a place of respect, care, and speaking from the heart. It’s time to stop staying silent.
