At the beginning of this year, I was determined that "Send Me" was going to be my theme for the year. This was undoubtedly influenced by @charliekirk11's message on Isaiah 6:8 at America Fest a few years ago. However, I quickly realized it wasn't the right message I needed, at least not at this time.
While I wanted the Lord to send me and use me for His will, I was still struggling with sin that kept me in captivity. It wasn't until this last month when I realized that God can't send you unless you first submit your will to His and LIVE FREE drenched in His blood.
Back in December at America Fest 2024, I bought the "LIVE FREE" shirt that Charlie always wore. My intent was to get baptized in it later down the road. Two weeks ago, that intention became a reality and it was the greatest day of my life.
I was looking back at the picture of me and Charlie when he came and did a campus tour stop at Texas Tech. This was my first ever TPUSA event that I attended and it was only by God's provision that I saw an ad on Twitter asking for volunteers at the event. Funny enough, I checked out of school early that day to do so, and I'm so glad I did. However, when I looked at the picture, everything about these past few months made sense for the first time. Why? Because the name of tour was the Live Free Tour. From the time I met Charlie to the time he passed, he knowingly or unknowingly kept preaching the same message to me that I desperately needed to hear.
Not everything in our lives will make sense at first but, it's critical to remember that God never wastes a moment to use for his greater plan. Even moments such as buying a T-Shirt that only has 2 words on it...
"LIVE FREE"
