@northwoods1980 Body reader checking in. I have a question about this. (1) typically does not enhance, correct? (2) what about microscopic fat content on T1 OP? I usually let things go if they don’t enhance and contain fat. Am I safe here or am I contributing to the problem?

As with all language, the way radiologists phrase their reports is heavily influenced by whatever their attendings preferred while they were in training, and yet every radiologist seems to have some kind of comically elaborate lore that explains why their way is the One True Path

@northwoods1980 For sure; these cases are scary. Nearly everyone has a nodule and every lung cancer starts somewhere.

@temafudge I obviously love imaging…..but….you need a question to answer (and the answer should change management) before ordering an imaging test. History and physical are still #1 and #2.

@NephroP How do you handle incidental finding of renal cyst on #POCUS? If 1) circular 2) thin walled 3) completely anechoic and 4) displays posterior acoustic enhancement, I counsel that these are benign and common. If they violate a single rule, I refer. Thoughts?
