The ongoing slaughter of innocent Christians by Muslim terrorists in Nigeria is APPALLING. The Nigerian government’s silence is DEAFENING. I signed onto Rep. Chris Smith’s resolution calling on Congress to codify President @realDonaldTrump’s executive order, which labeled Nigeria as a particular country of concern over the massacre of Christians. Their complicity in the GENOCIDE of thousands of Christians must stop, and we must take action to fully condemn this NOW.

President Trump asked me and @HouseAppropsGOP to investigate the persecution of Christians in Nigeria. As part of this investigation, the committee is hosting a roundtable to continue building on the work we've done so far. We will never turn a blind eye to our brothers and sisters in Christ who suffer for their faith.

On the Conviction of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu: A Call for Calm, Responsibility, and a Path to Peace...1 I waited to read and reflect on the judgment before making this statement. Moments like this demand calm thinking and careful consideration. The conviction of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a moment of deep emotion for many in the Southeast and across the country. I urge our youths, IPOB sympathisers, and all concerned citizens to remain calm and avoid actions that could deepen tension in an already fragile environment. Violence will not advance our collective cause; it will only multiply our losses. I ask you to trust that pathways to resolution will be fully explored My earlier sympathy for IPOB stemmed from a simple democratic principle: the inalienable right of citizens to agitate peacefully within the bounds of the law. That right is foundational to any society that aspires to justice. But no movement retains moral authority once its name becomes associated with killings, injuries, fear, and the disruption of ordinary life. The Southeast has paid a heavy price; traders, travellers, young people, and security officers have all been victims. Any credible future engagement must begin with a clear renunciation of violence, the surrender of arms, and responsible acknowledgment of the harm caused by members, affiliates, and splinter groups. On the judicial process, I must speak with clarity. In 2017, I played a quiet but decisive role in ensuring that the judiciary’s decision to grant Mazi Kanu bail—despite executive opposition—was respected. It was a reminder that our courts, even under intense pressure, can act with courage. I therefore reject any disparaging characterisation of the judges involved in this matter. We may question judgments, but we must never undermine the dignity of the judiciary. It remains one of the critical guardrails preserving our democracy. That said, it is clear that the judgment has raised genuine concerns among legal experts and citizens alike, concerns about process, proportionality, and how the law was interpreted. These questions are legitimate in any democracy. Fortunately, our judicial system provides avenues for appeal, and I trust that the higher courts will address them with the fairness and thorough scrutiny they require. At the same time, we must acknowledge that the Nigerian state is overstretched, battling insecurity on multiple fronts, managing economic hardship, and facing rising public distrust and global scrutiny. Force alone cannot hold a diverse nation together. Beyond the legal pathways open to Mazi Kanu, there is room for a structured political settlement: one that requires IPOB to renounce violence and accept responsibility, and the government to consider a supervised process of dialogue, rehabilitation, and reintegration. History shows that when groups abandon violence and governments embrace dialogue, peace becomes possible. The Irish Republican Army entered a political process that led to the Good Friday Agreement. In Spain, ETA renounced violence, disarmed under international supervision, and eventually dissolved itself. These examples remind us that lasting peace is achieved not through victory or vengeance, but through accountability, courage, and negotiation. Our nation has reached the edge of exhaustion. We must step back, not out of fear, but out of faith in our shared future. I call on the Presidency, the National Council of State, and leaders of conscience across Nigeria to help midwife a process of dialogue anchored on justice, peace, and national harmony.

Kanu Outsmarted Everyone — Even the Court He knew the verdict was predetermined. He knew no one in that courtroom would deliver justice. So he 'fired' his lawyers. Not out of anger. Not out of defiance. But out of strategy and care. Kanu refused to let the blame for an inevitable outcome fall on those who were loyal to him. He protected his team. He centred himself on the real issue: the fight for his people. This wasn’t just smart. It was brilliant leadership. It showed how far he will go for those he loves. How deeply he thinks ahead. How he fights with purpose, not ego. In one move, he: -Shielded his lawyers from public anger -Removed distractions that could derail the mission -Maintained focus on the freedom struggle Kanu didn’t just react to the system — he played the system while protecting his own. Leaders like this aren’t common. Visionaries like this are rare. And now the world sees it: even when the odds are stacked, even when the game is rigged, Kanu thinks ten steps ahead. This is strategy. Loyalty. Leadership. Courage. He didn’t need the courtroom to fight for his people. He needed clarity, focus, and the courage to act — and he delivered all three. Vintage Kanu!

Wake up, Nigerians: the Fulani's fight to take control of Nigeria has entered a new phase. Many people have not noticed this. Currently, as we speak, @Google has removed all the photos of Fulani herders with AK-47s, only ones with the traditional stick around a mere reason figures like Mahmoud Ali Youssouf of the African Union Commission deny a Christian genocide in Nigeria. Wake up, Nigeria. Check this out, retweet, and share.

Mimister Wike: Power, Process, and the Rule of Law Any law enforcement officer, in uniform or plain clothes, represents the President and the sovereignty of the Nigerian state. To abuse such an officer is to diminish the authority of the Republic itself. Minister Nyesom Wike’s decision to personally enforce a directive at a disputed site was a fundamental misstep. In constitutional democracies, power operates through institutions not impulse. Executive authority must be exercised or adjudicated through the courts, ministries, and lawful instruments of state, never through confrontation. No matter how justified a grievance, a minister cannot become an enforcer; that violates the very idea of ordered government. In a democracy, ministers act through process, not presence. A formal communication to the Minister of Defence, whose office oversees the Armed Forces, would have sufficed. If the officers were on illegal duty, the established disciplinary systems would have addressed it. When a minister trades words with a uniformed officer acting under orders — lawful or otherwise — it corrodes discipline and confuses hierarchy. The officer’s duty is to obey the chain of command, not verbal instructions on a roadside; the minister’s duty is to act through lawful channels. The Minister should apologise to the officer for using abusive language. It is not acceptable behaviour. The conduct of the DSS protective details was equally unprofessional. Their responsibility was to extract their principal from a rancorous and potentially dangerous situation, not to escalate it. Security officers must remember that their loyalty is to the state, not to personalities. This episode is a cautionary tale: This episode demeans the dignity of the office of the Minister and undermines the image of disciplined governance. Osita Chidoka 11 November 2025

PRESS RELEASE FULANI TERRORISM CANNOT BE EQUATED WITH IPOB SELF-DETERMINATION : NIGERIA MUST STOP REWARDING VIOLENCE By Chief Malcolm Emokiniovo Omirhobo Human Rights Lawyer & Public Interest Advocate Date: 10th November 2025 I strongly condemn the recent attempt by Sheikh Ahmad Gumi and certain northern elites to draw a moral equivalence between the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Fulani terrorists. This comparison is reckless, misleading, and an insult to the victims of terrorism. Let the facts be clear: IPOB is demanding a separate state through agitation and self-determination. Fulani terrorists are engaged in revenge killings, kidnappings, land occupation, and violent domination. These are not the same and must never be treated as such. If Sheikh Gumi insists that Fulani terrorists have grievances, Nigerians deserve clear answers: Who offended them? What injustice justifies the killing, kidnap, rape, and displacement of thousands? Why should terrorists be praised for “listening” while citizens are buried daily? The Fulani are not oppressed. They occupy major positions in government, security forces, and national politics. Nigeria must stop rewarding violence and blaming victims. If there are people with legitimate grievances, it is communities like mine in the Niger Delta: Our oil and gas are taken to sustain Nigeria, but our people live in poverty. Our rivers, creeks, and farmlands are polluted beyond use. We cannot fish, farm, or hunt anymore. Yet we do not take up arms against innocent Nigerians. We seek justice, not bloodshed. Northern elites must stop misleading their people and glorifying terrorists. Terrorism is a crime. Self-determination is a legal debate. The two must never be confused or equated. Nigeria must choose: Will we continue to justify terror and silence truth? Or will we uphold justice, equality, and the sanctity of human life? @channelstv @AIT_Online @ARISEtv @BBCAfrica @SaharaReporters @PremiumTimesng @guardianNigeria @MobilePunch @LeadershipNGA @DailyTrust @THISDAYLIVE @Vanguardngrnews @NationNewsflash @tvcnewsng @CNN @AJEnglish @ReutersAfrica @SocialMediaTrendsNG @SaharaReporters @PeoplesGazette Government / Security Handles (Optional): @PoliceNG @HQNigerianArmy @HQNigerianAirForce @GovNigeria @NGRPresident @FMICNigeria @ICPC_PE @OfficialEFCC

Nnamdi Kanu hasn’t changed his Fendi clothes for over 4 years now, why? Nnamdi Kanu wanted to wear “isi agu” clothes the traditional Igbo attire and both DSS and the court refused him. They said that “isi agu” clothe scares them. “Clothes with lion’s head offend the standard operating procedures” DSS said.
