A ₹50k Asus Vivobook laptop can run VS Code, Docker, and write code. So why are developers spending ₹1.5L+ on MacBooks? 🤔

This guy had made a truly Indian phone company called Yu. The Yu Yuphoria was the sexiest phone launched back then. With specs that were challenging the Chinese phones. It even had CyanogenMod EXCLUSIVE to India. He launched total of 3 phones but things went downhill for him due to numerous issues with his phones. But I still look up to him because he is the only man who tried with his whole heart.

Man I love @Mrwhosetheboss so much. What a class act. - extremely well spoken. As always. - gives Madhav 3 chances to speak. Makes him sound good too. - doesn't do any creative writing. - sponsorship at the end so the story is conveyed.

Human Archive (YC W26) was one of the first companies in the world to start collecting human data, and I said this last year, but soon you will be able to get free cleaning and cooking services anywhere in the world by just consenting to being recorded. Most people clearly still don’t know what’s coming, but it’s already in full swing. @abhirajbhal, I can understand the initial pushback, but unfortunately your customers will quickly churn for your competitors, and you will be forced to change your mind soon or @urbancompany_UC will no longer exist. I have proof. During @ycombinator, we reached out to you and all your competitors. Everyone told us to fuck off. So we did it ourselves by basically working with a smaller player and giving users an option to be recorded for a cheaper price. 98% of users decided they would rather have a subsidized service and consent to being recorded (we blur all faces and remove PII). In 2 weeks, we went from 48 to 1,315 bookings per day. Fuck it, we could’ve been profitable and even PAYED HOMEOWNERS to come to your home and cook and clean. When we launch next week, this will be a real thing NOT ONLY in India, but across the world. We did this in: 1. Patna 2. Purnia 3. Darbhanga 4. Guwahati 5. Jhanjharpur 6. Jabalpur 7. Indore 8. Siliguri 9. Mussoorie 10. Delhi 11. Gurgaon 12. Faridabad 13. Dimapur 14. Mumbai 15. Jaipur Today, we’re working with some of the largest ops businesses in Asia. Soon, you’ll see workers not only wearing cameras, but also gloves and full-body mocap. @abhirajbhal I genuinely respect you as an entrepreneur. What you’ve built so far is impressive. However, unless @urbancompany_UC starts to recognize what’s REALLY going on here, the stock will continue to drop, customers will churn, competitors will see massive growth, and I’ll be able to say I told you so when you change your mind later on. More than happy to discuss this live
Abhiraj Singh Bhal@abhirajbhal

In light of recent reports regarding recordings inside customers’ homes by one of our competitors, many people have asked whether @urbancompany_UC engages in anything similar, or intends to do so in the future. The answer is clear and unequivocal: we do not. We are in the business of trust, and we take customer trust and privacy extremely seriously. We do not engage in any such activities, have never done so in the past, and have no plans to do so in the future. Our customers’ privacy is paramount to us, and we remain fully committed to upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, safety, and trust.

I built ParathiPetty — പരാതിപ്പെട്ടി — a public complaint box for Kerala, on WhatsApp. The idea is simple: Spot a pothole, broken streetlight, garbage pile, waterlogged road, or damaged public property. Send a photo + location on WhatsApp. Try it here: parathipetty.com

It’s so over for junior engineers 😭 We have a new CEO at the company I’m working in, and he recently pushed everyone to adopt a full Claude-based workflow. Now everyone is using Claude for almost everything. During a meeting, he asked if anyone had questions. An intern asked whether the company would continue hiring interns or junior engineers. He said everyone currently working is safe, but they've decided to stop hiring interns and junior engineers going forward. They don’t want to spend 3–4 months training freshers anymore, and would rather hire experienced engineers who already know these tools. Are junior engineers actually getting replaced??

I'm giving away the Claude Code skills we use to manage $300k/mo in ad spend at ColdIQ. 4X ROAS on $1M+ spent. Ivan, our head of growth, built them off 300+ hours running ad campaigns for our clients. They run Google, Meta, and LinkedIn ads from the terminal in plain English: → bulk edits across platforms → custom audiences from CRM lists → creative fatigue detection before CTR dips → bid adjustments at scale → performance audits across periods Reply "ads" and I'll send the full repo. Must be following.

Every single person coding with AI right now: > Get an idea at 11 PM. > Build the entire app with Claude by 3 AM. > Realize you actually have to talk to humans to get sales. > Panic and start a new project to avoid marketing. Can we coin a term for whatever mental illness this is? 😭

Choisis ton camp.

My cousin moved to Bangalore for a ₹1.5L/month tech job. Six months later, he realised something no one tells freshers. Computer Science graduate First software developer job Moved to Bengaluru for better opportunities Salary: ₹1.5L per month Back home, everyone thought he had made it. Big tech job. Big city. Big salary. But a few months later, reality looked different. Rent for a small apartment near the office: ₹36K Food & groceries: ₹13K-15K Cabs & autos (traffic is insane): ₹6K-8K Swiggy, coffee, weekends out: ₹10K-12K Then come the things nobody talks about. Subscriptions. Medical expenses. Unexpected bills. Sending money back home. By the end of the month… Savings were barely ₹15K-20K. That’s when he realised something most people outside big cities don’t see. ₹1L+ salary sounds huge in your hometown. But in a city like Bangalore, it often just means you’re getting started. Big salary. Small savings. Welcome to Banglore life.

"Not having a coding experience is becoming an advantage." Replit CEO Amjad Masad: "You don't need any development experience. You need grit. You need to be a fast learner." "If you're a good gamer, if you can jump in a game and figure it out really quickly, you're really good at this." "Coders get lost in the details." "Product people, people who are focused on solving a problem, on making money, they're going to be focused on marketing, they're going to be focused on user interface, they're going to be focused on all the right things." "I think this year it's gonna flip, and I think not having a coding background is gonna be more advantageous for the entrepreneur." @amasad with @jackneel
