Hilton Pattaya was great, but the time went by too quickly. We didn't venture outside at all. Just enjoyed the hotel and the view. 😆

This is my cappuccino rawn sib-song oz. from Turtle shop. I think it's just an espresso? I asked them about cappuccino and they confirmed. They're nice and I feel they're trying hard, but they seem to have no idea about the drinks. Similar issue yesterday.

Convicted Australian Pedophile Sailed a Boat 5 Months Across the Pacific to See His Thai Girlfriend Richard Carl Skrinjar, 57, was arrested on April 28 at a house in Ban Ped, Khon Kaen. He told police he'd left Australia by sea, alone, and spent about five months getting to Thailand. He docked the boat at a pier in Prachuap Khiri Khan and paid 10,000 baht a month to keep it there. His girlfriend had moved back to Thailand around two years ago. He missed her. Skrinjar was convicted in multiple Australian child sex cases between 2007 and 2021, against children under 14, including producing child sexual abuse material. He's a lifelong-reporting sex offender, meaning he was supposed to check in with Australian authorities for the rest of his life. When he disappeared, Queensland Police issued a warrant for breaching his probation, his passport was canceled, and on April 9 INTERPOL put him on a Green Notice flagging him as a likely re-offender who'd travel to commit further offenses, particularly in Southeast Asia. The Australian Federal Police office in Bangkok asked Thailand's Crime Suppression Division to track him down. CSD Sub-division 3 and Immigration Police Region 4 traced him to the Khon Kaen house and got a search warrant. When officers came through the door, Skrinjar tried to smash a laptop. They stopped him and seized four electronic devices. He's being held under the Immigration Act.

@R04ch Same in our building. Even though it's a 40-story building most people are familiar to residents, staff, and security guards. Air BnB guests are easy to spot.

A few days ago I saw 2 'tourists' walking my building and today there are signs everywhere again citing the 2004 hotel act because some smart-ass owner tried to to put their place on AirBnB. Despite there being over 1000 units they stick out like a sore thumb.

Sunset from the western side of Koh Samet. Yesterday went on a sunset boat tour, where we boated around the island, did some minor snorkeling, and then watched the sun go down. My wife got lots of Instagram photos, which was the main point. At least the crew took most of them!

My friend was found dead in his condo on Friday. The rental company said he was late with his last rent payment and asked me to pay it. I told them that is what the 2 months deposit is for.

We were finishing end-of-the-year exams and grading when I fell ill with a fever that lasted several days. Then the fever went away, but severe coughing continued, so I went to the hospital and they found I had pneumonia. Getting better but it's a slow process.
