Today in America more than half, including 30% of evangelicals, don't believe Christ was a god. christianpost.com/news/more-than… Most of those who still believe don't follow the official version - decided by a committee. "Some 65% of evangelicals in the study were also found to agree with the statement, 'Jesus is the first and greatest being created by God,' which theology experts say suggest a dire need for Christians to be taught Christology." Most who don't believe Christ was a god "view the Holy Spirit not as a distinct, divine person, but as the active power, energy, mind, or presence of God the Father." Additionally only 51% of Americans consider God to be "all-powerful, all-knowing, perfect and just creator of the universe who still rules the world today.”

when they wanted to progress that friendship into something bigger, sure they do. its actually quite...subhuman, or at least sociopathic to reject that universal human experience. no, because you are incapable of imparting motives beyond sex, and have unrealistically inflated the value of intimate chemistry to a lifelong partnership. I dont think women are careful who gets close to them. they have soent 20 years glorifying sleeping around at the college sexperience. I didnt argue being friends and dating were the same thing. you are simply retarded

another reason men will leave, and why men and women cannot be friends: watching her get with another man is one of the most soul crushing experiences you will have to deal with, multiple multiple times over the course of your life. men and women who have the chemistry to be friends, should just date. women, ironically, value sex too highly in a relationship. Or else hollywood has warped their minds around what intimate compatibility is really like.

The reason men leave after being rejected is because it’s the only way to preserve some shred of dignity. It’s uncomfortable for both parties when one side has feelings and the other does not. It doesn’t mean “they never cared about you”, on the contrary

@MoffFrieren Perhaps you should clearly define what you mean by the term "friends." Perhaps since you seem to imply that "it's always the woman's fault," a definition is not necessary. I wish my friends happiness.

@Aylmer51 @PastorAlexLove If God relies on pastors, why don't they all have EXACTLY the same message? That would, of course, include the prosperity ministers having 1% of their income sent to me.

I turned 18 in 1958 so, "Buy Berkshire Hathaway " (BRK.A/BRK.B) is widely recognized by financial historians as the top-performing long-term stock over this multi-decade period. Under Buffett's management, the company achieved an astonishing 3,787,464% overall gain from 1964 (when he took over) through the mid-2020s, significantly outperforming the S&P 500.

@farzyness I"t’s smart enough to be comparable to the other models on most things. But that speed allows you to make little tweaks to your system so that the output is PERFECT." That might imply that you can get it to say anything you want it to say.

Grok is the Flow LLM. Grok 4.5’s biggest advantage is its speed. It’s smart enough to be comparable to the other models on most things. But that speed allows you to make little tweaks to your system so that the output is PERFECT. With the other models, it takes FOREVER to do this, and you constantly end up outside of a flow state, which makes it way way way harder to do this. It’s now my preferred model.
Jon Shulkin@jon

It's great that Grok 4.5 is faster and 90% cheaper than Fable 5. What really matters to enterprise is "does it work". Grok 4.5 allowed me to complete what Fable 5 couldn't. Full ingestion, crawl, indexing, AI searchibility, vault, filestore app of 450,000 files with full app service, ask, wiki, and custom agent enablement. Intelligence layer enabled for an entire company by Grok 4.5. The only one that succeeded. Try it...

"The neutral gray bottom was an intentional design choice by architect Henry Bacon to serve as a visual plane that amplifies reflections, rather than competing with them. This muted color enhances specular reflection, allowing the water to act as a seamless mirror for the sky, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial." - Google AI Maybe they read the directions.

@athiestboi Ehrman teaches in the heart of the Bible Belt and he points out that when the Da Vinci Code was popular, more of his students had read it than had read the Bible. youtu.be/Ml5H7CET-LM

I would think that if a god wrote the Bible, it could do at least as well as a coach writing a rule book for some sport. In American football for example, people might argue over whether a touchdown was made but not what a touchdown is. In the case of the Bible there are millions of different interpretations.

@jonathanstea @looneyfox_1 I started using my middle initial in October of 1963. Turns out that when you get drafted, the military requires you to sign your name that way.

"Today, the dominant view among critical scholars is that Mark was written first (known as Marcan priority) around A.D. 65–75, with Matthew and Luke written later (A.D. 75–90) using Mark as a source" - Google AI "Modern critical biblical scholars reached a consensus that the Gospels were written anonymously and later attributed to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John around the second century. This academic realization emerged during the Enlightenment of the 17th and 18th centuries and was formalized by scholars in the 19th and 20th centuries." youtu.be/K0UyXg_MNGk?si…

@MikeFromHC @hookskat Mathew played a vital double role in spreading the Gospel both as the traditional author of the first book of the New Testament and as an active missionary to the East. Paul Traveled widely across the Roman Empire to preach the message specifically to the Gentiles..

If god can harden a heart to reject him….. why cant he soften one to accept him? Either way, isnt that usurping “free will”?

Maybe, but the Thirty Years' War killed millions and then there was the "brother of Christ". Between 1850 and 1864, a man named Hong Xiuquan had a vision. He believed he was the younger brother of Jesus Christ. He raised an army of millions and seized half of China. The Taiping Rebellion killed between 2 0 to 30 million people. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiping_R…

Grok: "Voter fraud in U.S. elections occurs, but research from multiple sources consistently shows it is extremely rare—typically on the order of 0.0001% to 0.00001% of votes cast (or even lower for certain types like in-person impersonation). This means fraud is far too infrequent to affect the outcome of any statewide or national election... No documented case has ever shown fraud altering a federal election outcome. One widely cited estimate from older comprehensive reviews (covering billions of ballots over decades) found roughly 1,000–1,500 proven cases of various election fraud types nationwide over 40+ years—averaging a few dozen per year at most." orgs.law.harvard.edu/equaldemocracy… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral…

@elonmusk Asking Grok, "What does woke mean?" gives the original meaning of the word and how it was subverted by the right. Anybody who has ever read "Stranger in a Strange Land" would have known that Michael would have come down on the left.

@Maximumatheist Actually it was Lucifer. When he took a vacation and came to Earth, he and his brother Michael the Archangel became much nicer people. All this is documented in the wonderful TV series Lucifer. I wonder why I've never seen any of the True Christians, criticizing this series.

Many scientists in the past 60 or so years have actually gone to the Grand Canyon and came out saying that theory doesn't make any sense. That the Grand Canyon was formed extremely rapidly (the flood theory). But instead of being challenged by the scientific community, they were just pushed out and silenced. Like the community does all the time. They're the fucking worst.
