@CNN You know China’s humanoid robots are class leading or at least close when they make the US ban list. That list is getting longer by the day, go through it yourself. Chinese DUV machines? Not banned yet, because they’re shit

China, which supplies the vast majority of the world's humanoid robots, has suddenly been cut off from its largest export market as the US government moves to curb its reliance on foreign technology. cnn.it/4yIcWz6

@OopsGuess They have not banned Chinese DUV machines yet so that’s how you know they’re not ready for prime time. This means Chinese humanoid robots are industry leading. Being on the US ban list is like a badge of honour

Banning Chinese EVs did not stop BYD from becoming a global champion. Now Washington is repeating the same failed script with robots and power inverters. When Chinese companies compete on price, scale, and engineering, America no longer calls it competition. It calls it a “national security threat.” Science is politicized. Technology is weaponized. Markets are closed. Then the same country turns around and accuses China of “weaponizing supply chains” and behaving like an authoritarian state. The hypocrisy is almost perfect. China does not force the Global South to ban American products, surrender its technology policy, or join an anti-American bloc. Washington does exactly that to its allies—and still calls itself the defender of freedom. America’s definition of democracy is increasingly simple: You are free to compete, provided China is not allowed to win. The United States does not fear Chinese authoritarianism. It fears Chinese products surviving without American permission.

A truck yesterday ripped off two overhead height-limit bars in Suzhou — one of them flew like a spear and impaled a passing sedan. Fortunately, no one was injured.

@GregKable @BYDCompany Most BYDs in China are Didis. So they will need to break from that negative association before they want to compete

The biggest story here isn't the Da Han, BYD's new luxury sedan It's that BYD sees itself in the same league as Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi Five years ago, that would've sounded ambitious Today, it sounds inevitable 5256mm long Up to 764 hp 1008 km CLTC range @BYDCompany

@DeItaone An ASML EUV machine contains over 100,000 specialized components sourced from roughly 5,000 niche global suppliers I think China has something but I doubt it can rival what ASML currently have.

China is the only country that advertises how great they are doing, instead of just opening up the internet free press to expose reality. If it was truly doing well, they would have a free press, instead of hiring marketing consultants to post on X what the US is doing wrong.

@BarmiesNiagara @BBCSport It didn’t make financial sense for Malaysia. $45-$50m hosting fees and Bernie wanted $70m to renew. With SG and China in the calendar, attendance was down, we were losing money A one off at reduced/no fee (Bahrain paying for this) is a no brainer though. It’s also Visit MY Year

Thai police: BTS victims can file complaints over Italian youths' behaviour Thailand's police spokesperson says anyone who believes they were insulted or demeaned by the group of Italian youths who allegedly made obscene gestures and behaved disruptively on a BTS train can file a criminal complaint. Lt. Gen. Trairong Phiwphan said that because the incident occurred in Thailand, any offence committed by foreign nationals is subject to Thai law. He added that videos and photos circulating online could be used as evidence in any investigation. He also said any decision to revoke the group's visas would fall under the authority of immigration officials if the legal criteria are met. Police urged the public to avoid confrontation, prioritise their safety, preserve evidence where possible and report incidents through the proper legal channels.
