@Mike_Stedham New gear bonus was a thing they added to the artifact to get people to use new gear. You get a damage bonus for free depending on the tier of a weapon from 1-5% damage and for armor its damage reduction from 2-10%. Used to be higher (2-10% & 3-15%) but got nerfed after complaints

While we're updating our New and Returning Player Guide with the latest changes for Monument of Triumph's launch next week, what questions can we answer now for Guardians returning to Destiny 2 that are getting ready for the update and looking to find their footing faster?

@Destiny2Team @K4RP4T This and the portal were the 2 changes that made me quit the game. Both of them are gone. It’s really a shame this is the last update - all of my biggest issues are fixed, but this time it’s finally too late.
