Our stadium now prints money. ‘There’s no consequences for them’ - how about when we went three transfer windows not spending a single penny because of the investment in the facilities/stadium, watching the best team of my lifetime fall apart directly because of that lack of investment? That sounds like a pretty devastating consequence to me. And now we’re reaping the rewards (being able to spend big money after b2b 17th place finishes), that’s a problem? Finished in Europe nearly every single year for the last 20 years. We’ve set ourselves up with work over a 15+ year period (which is where credit has to go to Levy & the owners), which yes has impacted us on the pitch negatively, to be in one of the best financial positions of any club in Europe.
