#WorldMentalHealthDay2018 We must get young people the support they need at school and beyond. I was diagnosed with #bipolar disorder at 16 I had #depression at 15 I was hospitalised But I had support from positive adults- family and teachers. Mental health must be a priority.

Too many people still feel helpless when it comes to supporting someone with a mental health problem. But it doesn't have to be that way - small gestures really can make a huge difference.

The NHS has largely given me excellent #mentalhealth care throughout my life so far. Nothing is perfect and change is still needed re funding. Members of my family and my fiance work in it too so I know a lot about it and am grateful for it! 70 years! #HappyBirthdayNHS
