There’s a hilarious story about President Obama’s visit to Estela, a restaurant in NYC — and the staff who were there still talk about it till today. Obama and Michelle came in for dinner, calm and friendly. Meanwhile, Secret Service quietly positioned themselves around the...

@Sam_Phalen @ESPN1000 @thekapman @sheanorling Kaplan is such a clown. So, Swanson is the best shortstop in Chicago today because of numbers he put up in Atlanta 5 years ago? Ask this doofus if the best pitcher in Chicago in 1984 was Tom Seaver.🤦‍♂️

The "best SS in Chicago" debate is so back. The #WhiteSox-#Cubs rivalry is so back. On @ESPN1000 today, @thekapman got fired up at the notion that Colson Montgomery might be better than Dansby Swanson. @sheanorling came with data! This is ELITE radio. Inject it into my veins.

These are just a few excerpts from my piece on Trump's first 15 months in his second term. The entire list, when you sit down and look at it, is so genuinely astounding I wasn't sure how to even present it to my audience. But here it is: readtangle.com/the-everything…

@VinnysCorner1 Game: Illinois comes back from 15 down with 3 minutes left vs Arizona to advance to the Final Four. Series: 2004 Red Sox, down 0-3, beat the Yankees. Season: 1993 Braves, trailed the Giants by 10 games in the standings, ended up winning the West on the last day with 104 wins.

@Angry_Staffer It has become far more palatable to believe that every tragedy, every shortcoming, every failure is the result of malevolence, when the truth is that it’s the result of ineptitude.

@Angry_Staffer The real conspiracy here (which was also true regarding the 9/11 attacks) is that we have been living under the illusion of American superiority for decades while we have become fatter, slower, dumber and more incompetent by the hour. This whole country is operating on vibes.

Jordan van den Berg - A The late rounds are built for taking athletic demons who need some work on technique. Most athletic DT prospect ever. Low risk and very high reward Overall - B Happy overall but value was not maximized and we did not address pressing needs well enough.

Marijuana today is much more potent than just ten or twenty years ago, leading to increased psychosis, anti-social behavior, and fatal car crashes. Arkansans don’t want more dangerous drugs obtained more easily. A change to marijuana’s drug classification is a step in the wrong direction.

@dalepartridge “Our ideas are so great that we have to disenfranchise half of the population in order to make them happen.” Fuck off. Take the hint. Your ideas aren’t unpopular because too many people are allowed to consider them. Your ideas are unpopular because they are terrible.

So, @joerogan probably won’t see this post that’s going viral on Facebook. It’s too long to copy & paste, & it took way more than 4 screenshots But I think it’s essential reading for everyone, because ALL of the lying MAGA Influencers need to face legal consequences /1

This is my assessment of why Trump’s war went so badly wrong. Underestimating an enemy and a belief in a quick victory are familiar sources of failure, compounded in this sense by incredible ultimatums and delusional claims. (£/free trial), open.substack.com/pub/samf/p/the…?

Watching my golf and seeing Rory McILROY falling about by the seams. Bad enough he lost a 6-Shot lead on Saturday, walking into Sunday as a co-leader, but now he’s missing gimme’s, surrending the lead to Cameron Young, who’s now got a 2-Shot lead. Not Good. Not Good at all

@AlexS24_7 As a Bears fan, I’ll say it was the season finale against the Packers in the 2010-11 season. The Bears had nothing to play for, as seeding was already determined, but they could have eliminated GB. They lost 10-3 and lost to them again a few weeks later in the NFC Championship.
