@pandop @MrJamesMay @DeController But that is the issue: at busy times it can be difficult to get up to any speed. But at 9, 10, 11 o’clock at night when everybody’s at home/in bed and the roads are empty it’s hard to stick to 20 and the safety case vanishes

Just been nicked for a second time for doing more than 20mph in outer London while a mate of mine in North London faces losing his licence soon for running up 12pts for breaking that limit 4 times. There will be record driving disqualification going through the courts. . Khan will be so pleased. Almost impossible to do 20mph for any period of time. Cars weren’t built to go that slowly.

Woman filmed herself speeding and swerving for Snapchat – killed two people just THREE weeks after passing her test
Liberty Mitchell, 21, from Chipping Norton, was driving her grey Mini Cooper at 96mph in a 60mph zone on the B4425 near Aldsworth, Gloucestershire, when she attempted to overtake three vehicles at once on December 2022.
She aborted the manoeuvre too late, smashing into a taxi driven by Octavian Codreanu (who died at the scene) and passenger Moyra Whelan (a school teacher heading to a wedding), killing both instantly.
Three other taxi passengers suffered horrific injuries including fractured hips, broken ribs, severe abdominal wounds and shattered bones; one survivor described endless trauma and survivor's guilt.
Phone footage showed Mitchell gleefully filming herself speeding and swerving into oncoming traffic for social media, despite holding her licence for under three weeks.
At Gloucester Crown Court, Judge Rupert Lowe sentenced her to six years and eight months (half in custody), branding her a "reckless and immature" teen with the "delusion" she was invulnerable; she was banned from driving for eight years and four months.

@AliJaneMoore When she is there she should indicate to them if she is unhappy with their findings/ recommendations and insist that they confer with the GP. And while she is there, ask for a complaint form.

She's going back earlier than planned because the problem is getting worse and not responding to treatment: that should be a red flag for any practice and lead to a GP appt. She's seeing someone who knows less than she does and can't prescribe/order imaging. Make it make sense.

My daughter, a resident doctor with a worsening condition which has not responded to self-care and an initial telephone consultation with a GP and prescription, has just been told she can't see a GP - it has to be a "physician associate who can do everything a doctor can."
